It's hard to believe that another week's already gone by, but I'm enjoying my Saturday morning coffee in the back yard! I hope you've all had a great week, I know I have. I joined the Saturday Savers community about a year ago to help me delineate my goals here on Hive more clearly. I've found that it has helped me to achieve several goals much more expeditiously, because once a week I spend time reviewing them and making adjustments.
I'll go over my primary and secondary goals first. Beyond those I have many others, and week to week I'll swap some in and out as I make progress on them. If you have any questions about any of them feel free to ask below. Let's dive right in staring with my Hive Power goal.
Hive Power
My primary goal this year is to reach a total Hive Power of 10,000. With Hive prices down I am buying more Hive to take advantage of the situation. I have increased my HP by 84 this week and currently have 7,258 staked Hive. If I earn 100 HP per week for the next 28 weeks that will more than exceed the current goal. However, I anticipate converting more HBD to Hive to reach it faster and surpass it.
I honestly had a figure of 12K HP by year's end, and I hope I can make it happen. But first I got to make it to 10K!
Currently I am 72.6% of the way to 10,000 HP!
PIMP
This year my secondary goal is to reach 50K staked PIMP. I bought some PIMP this week and staked it, additionally, I continue to earn from posting and tips as well. As of this morning I have 37,350 PIMP, I am at 74.7% of the final goal. In the next month or two I'll probably just buy up a few large chunks to get this goal out of the way. That way I will have more available for other projects.
This is the only token that is backed by physical silver and Bitcoin here on Hive, so it will always have value no matter what the world may bring!
EDSI
My goal this year is to reach 200 EDSI. This week they did release some bad news that their earning weren't quite what they had hoped and were powering down to keep the APR at a stable level. As a result the price dropped a bit, and I picked up one and have another buy order in place. If I pick up three a week I should hit 200 by the end of the year, right now I have 117.
I do know that by delegating HP to them you can receive tokens and a higher curation vote. I haven't participated in that program, if you're interested you may want to research that one on your own.
DUO
Time once again to shill my favorite token of them all. I might be a touch biased since I did help create it. It's going to be coming up on a year now since I started this token along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools . We saw a void in the ecosystem which is recruiting and retaining new talent. Not just people here to milk Hive, but those who want to build accounts and strengthen Hive.
To do this our goal is to accumulate enough HP that a portion can be allotted to curate and reward new members. Not only that but to create a Hive school to teach these new members how to succeed and build wealth here on Hive. Right now we have 37,892 HP in the curation account and are actively starting to build the school and recruitment of some new talent.
DUO takes great pride in taking care of our investors and they receive the lions share of the benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!
I currently have just over 1,400 total DUO. As part of the DUO token team we all agreed to only stake 700 DUO each at the beginning to ensure the majority of dividends go to our investors. My stake is about 37.1 DUO higher now from just tips, so tips in DUO can be substantial and make sure to use them if you have over 500 staked DUO. Also the DUO team does not currently receive curations on our posts to ensure that our stakers receive the best curations possible.
CAV
As a military war veteran, I like to support projects that help out fellow veterans. That is precisely what CAV does, it's designed to help out veterans around the world here on Hive and in the real world. War can leave some lasting scars, and the psychological ones can be far worse than the physical ones. So I will continue buying one or two tokens a week to show my support for this program.
As an added bonus, you receive daily liquid Hive dividends for just holding the token. I always appreciate Hive dividends!
DBOND and DAB
I have been investing in this project since it's inception and continue to be happy with the progress of my investments. I currently have 283 DBOND and 58 DAB. By staking your DBOND you receive DAB in return. If you leave it liquid it pays out liquid Hive daily, if you stake DAB you receive more DBOND. I prefer the staked option to build my balances on both of these tokens.
I have also started buying RUG which makes money outside of Hive in the defi sector and LP's. Because defi is down overall the profits are down a bit as well as the price of RUG token. So I'll continue to pick up a few a week and slowly build up my balance. By holding it you get paid out in the form of staked DBOND.
When RUG was staring up we were in the middle of creating DUO, so I didn't have funds to put into RUG at that time. I'm a little late to the party on this one and only have 15, but I do have a buy order in!
POB
Proof of Brain token is one that I earn from my posts I am staking and then delegating them to pob.voter. In return once a week I receive a liquid Hive dividend from them, which is always welcome. I currently have delegated out 1,421 POB tokens. The earned Hive is not huge, but it is free once a week. I personally like any Hive that comes free!
Silver
Silver took a bit of a hit this week as did gold. Gold is still at $3,040 per Troy ounce and silver is down to $33. With the uncertainty everywhere in the world I don't see them going anywhere but up in the foreseeable future. Silver will always have value, whereas fiat, not so much. But that is also why we invest in crypto, both are safe bets!

Every week I like to share a great way you can invest in silver, even if you are new to precious metal investing. I've always liked this particular coin, but the prices have sure gone up a lot lately due to the rise in silver prices. These are some beautiful coins from Italy, pre-Euro days!

These are priced at $24.99 for a random year (1958-2001) in brilliant uncirculated condition at APMEX. I really like these 500 Lira coins made with .835 pure silver and I picked several up when I have visited Italy over the years. There is 0.2953 Troy ounces of silver in each one, so you are paying a pretty good premium on the coin itself. But they are beautiful coins and a great way to invest in silver.
The reverse (back) of the coin has the three ships representing the Columbus expedition in 1492. I've always liked ship and animal coins, so right up my alley. I'm sure in Europe and especially in Italy you could probably find some better prices. But nice coins from Europe carry a premium cost here in the US!
It's always smart to invest in precious metals, and a way to build your overall wealth!
