My Seasonal Results, My Cards Upgrades and My Next Seasonal Goal
The first blockchain-based game I played was an idle game, from which I learned that web3 idle games generally have a short lifespan, especially if they have very simple and mostly passive gameplay dynamics.
The second blockchain-based game I played was Splinterlands, and it was almost love at first sight.
I signed up on Hive in March 2019, and a few months later I started playing Splinterlands.
From September 2019 to today, I have played 43,682 battles.
In Modern Format and Wild Format, I have always played manually without using bots, while in Survival Mode I have used XBOT.
Considering only the battles I played manually without using automation, I played 42,862 battles = I played an average of 19 battles per day.
Six years ago, I started playing Splinterlands, and I still enjoy it very much, but only in game modes reserved for human players because I have always considered the decision to tolerate private bots to be the only major mistake Splinterlands has made.
My dream is to see Splinterlands completely reserved for human players!
My dream has not yet come true, but I am happy that Splinterlands has taken important steps in what I consider to be the right direction:
has introduced Frontier Mode: a fun game mode that is also a completely free-to-play entry point for new players and is reserved only for human players.
will introduce brackets reserved only for human players in Survival Mode: for the first time, human players will be able to use wild cards in a ranked mode without being forced to play against private bots.

My results in season 168
On Splinterlands, in Ranked Play, season 169 has just begun and will end in 15 days and 17 hours.
In the recently concluded season, season 168, I played in the Modern Format and the Frontier Format.
At the beginning of the season, I set and shared three seasonal goals:
- Modern Format: reach at least the Diamond III league
- Frontier Format: reach at least Gold II league
- Play at least one tournament
Unfortunately, I only achieved one of my three seasonal goals.
In Modern Format, I finished the season in Gold II league with a rating of 2320 points = goal not achieved!
Two days before the end of the season, I was very close to reaching Diamond III, but the battles I played in the last two days went badly on average, and I slipped from 12th place in the Gold Leaderboard to 68th place.
To improve my win rate in the Modern Format, I am considering renting a third top-level archon.
In fact, in the Modern Format, I only have three top-level archons:
- Akane (owned by me)
- Nomos (rented)
- Avina of the Wolf (rented)
However, I don't want to spend more than 50 DEC per day on a single summoner because I already have an expense of 84.46 DEC per day for renting Nomos and Avina of the Wolf.
For this reason, I will wait patiently to find a top-level summoner at a price I like because right now, excluding Nomos, which I already have, the cheapest top-level summoner to rent is Rekla, which costs 70 DEC per day.
Regarding game rewards, in season 168 I earned a total of 803.18 SPS thanks to victories in the Modern Format.
My gaming activity in the Modern Format is my main source of SPS token growth:
- Ranked Rewards: +803.18 SPS
- Staking Rewards: +315.64 SPS
- Brawl Rewards: +13.86 SPS
My seasonal Rental Report was negative: -295,278 DEC
But my seasonal earnings in the Modern Format largely cover this negative result.
My season in the Modern Format was not among the best in terms of game results, but my season in Frontier Mode was very positive because I surpassed the seasonal goal I had set for myself at the beginning of the season.
My seasonal goal was to reach the Gold II league.
I finished the season in the Gold I league with a rating = 2680.
I have also made progress in upgrading my Foundation cards.
I will make a quantum leap when I manage to increase the level of my archons because I have many unit cards that I can use in battles at a lower level than their current level.
For example, I have A'lan Musketeer at maximum level, but I can only use him in battles at level 1 because my archons are at level 2.

On October 21, the new Reward Cards will be released.

With the release of the new Conclave Arcana Reward Cards, Rebellion Reward Cards will no longer be available in Draws and Loot Chests.
I completed the upgrade of the common and rare Rebellion Reward Cards some time ago.
Unfortunately, I haven't yet completed the upgrade of the epic Rebellion Reward Cards.
With only 5 days left, it will be difficult for me to achieve this goal, but I will try to complete the upgrade of at least a subset of these cards.
Thanks to the GLINT I received as my end-of-season reward and the GLINT I hadn't spent yet, today I purchased 13 Epic Draws.
Thanks to the cards I found in the draws, I was able to complete the upgrade of two epic cards:
- Thanalorian Blade: level 5 -> level 6
- Halfling Refugee: level 5 -> level 6
I am particularly pleased to have completed the upgrade of Halfling Refugee because it is a card I use very often in my battles, and with one more attack point, it will be even more useful for winning battles in the game.
I have already used Halfling Refugee at its maximum level in battle.
I started the season in the best possible way with a victory.
My goals for season 169
There is a new atmosphere this season because the Hallow's Fall Event is underway on Splinterlands.
There is also a new Ruleset: Blood Moon!
In the current season, I'm starting from the Gold I league in the Frontier Format and the Silver I league in the Modern Format.
My new seasonal goals will be:
- to reach Diamond III in the Modern Format
- to improve my game results (rating and win rate) in the Frontier Format
- to play at least one tournament

I miei risultati nella stagione 167 + I miei progressi nel potenziamento delle carte + I miei nuovi obiettivi stagionali
Il primo gioco basato su blockchain a cui ho giocato è stato un idle game da cui ho imparato che gli idle games web3 hanno una vita generalmente breve soprattutto se hanno dinamiche di gioco molto semplici e per lo più passive.
Il mio secondo gioco basato su blockchain a cui ho giocato è stato Splinterlands ed è stato quasi amore a prima vista.
Mi sono iscritto su Hive nel marzo 2019 e qualche mese dopo ho iniziato a giocare su Splinterlands.
Da settembre 2019 ad oggi ho giocato 43682 battaglie.
Nel Modern Format e nel Wild Format ho sempre giocato manualmente senza usare bots mentre nel Survival Mode ho utilizzato XBOT.
Considerando solo le battaglie che ho giocato manualmente senza usare automatismi ho giocato 42862 battaglie = ho giocato in media 19 battaglie al giorno.
Sono sei anni che gioco su Splinterlands e ancora mi diverto molto ma solo nelle modalità di gioco riservare ai giocatori umani perchè ho sempre considerato la scelta di tollerare i bots privati l'unico grande errore che ha fatto Splinterlands.
Il mio sogno è vedere Splinterlands completamente riservato ai giocatori umani!
Questo mio sogno non si è ancora realizzato ma sono contento che Splinterlands ha fatto importanti passi in quella che io considero la giusta direzione:
ha introdotto il Frontier Mode: una modalità di gioco divertente che è anche un punto di ingresso completamente free to play per i nuovi giocatori ed è riservata solo ai giocatori umani.
introdurrà nel Survival Mode dei brackets riservati solo ai giocatori umani: per la prima volta i giocatori umani potranno utilizzare le wild cards in una modalità ranked senza essere costretti a giocare contro i bots privati.
I miei risultati nella stagione 168
Su Splinterlands, nel Ranked Play, è da poco iniziata la stagione 169 che terminerà tra 15 giorni e 17 ore.
Nella stagione da poco conclusa, la stagione 168, ho giocato nel Modern Format e nel Frontier Format.
All'inizio della stagione avevo fissato e condiviso tre obiettivi stagionali:
- Modern Format: arrivare almeno nella lega Diamond III
- Frontier Format: arrivare almeno nella lega Gold II
- Giocare almeno un torneo
Purtroppo ho raggiunto solo uno dei miei tre obiettivi stagionali.
Nel Modern Format ho concluso la stagione nella lega Gold II con 2320 punti di rating = obiettivo non raggiunto!
Due giorni prima della fine della stagione ero arrivato anche molto vicino alla lega Diamond III ma le battaglie che ho giocato negli ultimi due giorni sono andate mediamente male e dal 12° posto nella Gold Leadarboard sono scivolato al 68° posto.
Per migliore il mio win rate nel Modern Format sto valutando di noleggiare un terzo archon di massimo livello.
Infatti nel Modern Format ho solo tre archon di massimo livello:
- Akane (di mia proprietà)
- Nomos (noleggiato)
- Avina of the Wolf (noleggiato)
Non voglio però spendere più di 50 DEC al giorno per un singolo evocatore perchè ho già una spesa di 84.46 DEC al giorno per il noleggio di Nomos e Avina of the Wolf.
Per questo motivo aspetterò con pazienza di trovare un evocatore di massimo livello al prezzo che mi piace perchè in questo momento, escludendo Nomos che ho già, l'evocatore di massimo livello più economico da noleggiare è Rekla che ha un costo di 70 DEC al giorno.
Per quanto riguarda le ricompense di gioco, nella stagione 168 ho guadagnato in totale 803.18 SPS grazie alle vittorie nel Modern Format.
La mia attività di gioco nel Modern Format è la mia principale fonte di incremento per i token SPS:
- Ranked Rewards: +803.18 SPS
- Staking Rewards: +315.64 SPS
- Brawl Rewards: +13.86 SPS
Il mio Rental Report stagionale è stato negativo: -295.278 DEC
Ma il mio guadagno stagionale nel Modern Format copre ampiamente questo risultato negativo.
La mia stagione nel Modern Format non è stata tra le migliori dal punto di vista dei risultati di gioco ma la mia stagione nel Frontier Mode è stata molto positiva perchè ho superato l'obiettivo stagionale che mi ero posto all'inizio della stagione.
Il mio obiettivo stagionale era di arrivare nella lega Gold II.
Ho concluso la stagione nella lega Gold I con un punteggio di rating = 2680.
Ho fatto anche dei passi in avanti nell'upgrade delle mie Foundation cards.
Il salto di qualità lo avrò quando riuscirò ad aumentare il livello dei miei archon perchè ho molte carte di tipo unità che posso utilizzare nelle battaglie ad un livello inferiore rispetto al loro livello attuale.
Ad esempio ho A'lan Musketeer di livello massimo che però posso utilizzare nelle battaglie solo al livello 1 perchè i miei archon sono di livello 2.
I miei progressi nel potenziamento delle carte
Il 21 ottobre ci sarà il rilascio delle nuove Reward Cards.

Con il rilascio delle nuove Conclave Arcana Reward Cards non sarà più possibile trovare le Rebellion Reward Cards nei Draws e nei Loot Chests.
Da tempo ho completato l'upgrade delle Rebellion Reward Cards di tipo comune e di tipo raro.
Purtroppo non ho ancora completato l'upgrade delle Rebellion Reward Cards di tipo epico.
Con solo 5 giorni a disposizione difficilmente riuscirò a completare questo mio obiettivo ma proverò a completare l'ugrade di almeno un sottoinsieme di queste carte.
Grazie ai GLINT che ho ricevuto come ricompensa di fine stagione e ai GLINT che non avevo ancora speso oggi ho acquistato 13 Epic Draw.
Grazie alle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei draws ho potuto completare l'upgrade di due carte epiche:
- Thanalorian Blade: level 5 -> level 6
- Halfling Refugee: level 5 -> level 6
Sono particolarmente contento di aver completato l'upgrade di Halfling Refugee perchè è una carta che uso molto spesso nelle mie battaglie e con un punto di attacco in più mi sarà ancora più utile per vincere le battaglie di gioco.
Ho già utilizzato in battaglia Halfling Refugee di livello massimo.
Ho iniziato la stagione nel migliore dei modi con una vittoria.
I miei obiettivi per la stagione 169
Nella stagione in corso c'è un atmosfera nuova perchè su Splinterlands è in corso l'Hallow's Fall Event.
C'è anche una nuova Ruleset: Blood Moon!
Nella stagione in corso riparto dalla lega Gold I nel Frontier Format e dalla lega Silver I nel Modern Format.
I miei nuovi obiettivi stagionali saranno:
- arrivare nella lega Diamond III nel Modern Format
- migliorare i risultati di gioco (rating e win rate) nel Frontier Format
- giocare almeno un torneo
