Hive Searcher: How to Search Posts on Hive Quickly and Easily
Hive is a Delegate Proof of Stake (DPOS) blockchain in which lives a large ecosystem of projects, applications, tools, games and communities that is constantly evolving and expanding.
Hive is also a decentralized platform rich in content: guides, technical posts, posts about games, posts about travel, posts about personal experiences, reviews...
Finding a specific post (even your own post) can take a long time or can become a complicated task if you do not use an appropriate and functional tool for this purpose.
In this post I present a tool that I have frequently used and that I consider very useful because it allows you to search for posts published on Hive quickly and easily: Hive Searcher.
Hive Searcher is a search tool created by @ecency about 7 years ago that allows you to:
- search for posts and comments published on Hive that contain a keyword, multiple keywords or a specific phrase.
- search for content written by a specific author
- search for content that has been published in a specific community.
- combine multiple conditions in the same search.
Hive Searcher's interface is very simple but combining multiple conditions can optimize and speed up searches.
You can search for posts that contain a keyword.
For example if you search for the keyword Hive you will see all posts that contain the word Hive and you can sort the search results by three options: Popular, Relevance, Recent.
You can search for posts that contain more keywords.
In the next screenshot you can see the search results I got by searching Hive Reward Pool and using the Recent filter.
You can search for posts that contain a phrase (in this case you have to enclose the phrase in quotation marks).
In the next screenshot you can see the search results I got by searching for the phrase "Play to earn".
You can combine searching with a specific author + keyword.
For example, if in the search field I type: author:libertycrypto27 splinterlands I find all my posts and comments that contain the word splinteralnds
If I want to refine the search to only my posts excluding my comments I have to add the search criterion type:post
I can further narrow the search by adding the condition category:
hive-146620
In this case I will only display my posts that contain the word splinterlands published within the Olio di Balena community(hive-146620)
Why do I use Hive Searcher?
I'm on Hive since March 2019 and have written 1983 posts including guides and tutorials.
I use Hive Searcher a lot to:
- quickly find my posts that I have written about specific topics.
- find posts by other authors on topics that interest me.
I am a moderator of the Whale Oil community and I am also a curator of some projects on Hive and I also use Hive Researcher to check the content of suspicious authors/posts.
For example, a few months ago I read a post that seemed “old” based on the content.
The post was this: https://ecency.com/hive-146620/@handmadesoftwar/will-bitcoin-crash-again
I entered the first sentence contained in the post on Hive Searcher and discovered in less than 1 second that two accounts (mujaffa3 and handmadesoftwar) had completely copied and plagiarized a post written 4 years ago by hive-world.
Hive Searcher is also integrated into the Advanced search function of @ecency's front-end

Hive Searcher: Come cercare post su Hive in modo semplice e veloce
Hive è una blockchain Delegate Proof of Stake (DPOS) nella quale vive un grande ecosistema di progetti, applicazioni, tools, giochi e comunità in continua evoluzione ed espansione.
Hive è anche una piattaforma decentralizzata ricca di contenuti: guide, post tecnici, post su giochi, post su viaggi, post relativi ad esperienze personali, recensioni...
Trovare un post specifico (anche un proprio post) può richiedere molto tempo oppure può diventare un operazione complicata se non usi uno strumento opportuno e funzionale per questo scopo.
In questo post presento uno strumento che ho utilizzato di frequente e che considero molto utile perchè permette di ricercare post pubblicati su Hive in modo facile e veloce: Hive Searcher.
Hive Searcher è uno strumento di ricerca creato da @ecency circa 7 anni fa che ti permette di:
- cercare post e commenti pubblicati su Hive che contengono una parola chiave, più parole chiavi o una frase precisa.
- cercare contenuti scritti da un autore specifico
- cercare contenuti che sono stati pubblicati in una comunità specifica.
- combinare più condizioni nella stessa ricerca.
Linterfaccia di Hive Searcher è molto semplice ma combinando più condizioni è possibile ottimizzare e velocizzare le ricerche.
Puoi cercare i post che contengono una parola chiave.
Ad esempio se cerchi la parola chiave Hive visualizzerai tutti i post che contengono la parola Hive e puoi ordinare i risultati di ricerca in base a tre opzioni: Popular, Relevance, Recent.
Puoi cercare i post che contengono più parole chiave.
Nel prossimo screenshot puoi vedere i risultati di ricerca che ho ottenuto ricercando Hive Reward Pool e utilizzando il filtro Recent.
Puoi cercare i post che contengono una frase (in questo caso devi racchiudere la frase tra virgolette).
Nel prossimo screenshot puoi vedere i risultati di ricerca che ho ottenuto ricercando la frase "Play to earn".
Puoi combinare la ricerca di un autore specifico + parola chiave.
Ad esempio se nel campo di ricerca scrivo: author:libertycrypto27 splinterlands trovo tutti i miei post e i miei commenti che contengono la parola splinteralnds
Se voglio restringere la ricerca ai soli miei post escludendo i miei commenti devo aggiungere il criterio di ricerca type:post
Posso ulteriormente restringere la ricerca aggiungendo la condizione category:
hive-146620
In questo caso visualizzerò solo i miei post che contengono la parola splinterlands pubblicati all'interno della comunità di Olio di Balena(hive-146620)
Perchè uso Hive Searcher?
Sono su Hive dal marzo 2019 e ho scritto 1983 post tra cui anche guide e tutorials.
Uso molto Hive Searcher per:
- ritrovare velocemente miei post che ho scritto su argomenti specifici
- ricercare post di altri autori su argomenti che mi interessano
Sono un moderatore della comunità di Olio di Balena e sono anche un curatore di diversi progetti su Hive e uso Hive Researcher anche per verificare i contenuti di autori/post sospetti.
Ad esempio qualche mese fa ho letto un post che mi sembrava "vecchio" in base al contenuto.

Ho inserito la prima frase contenuta nel post su Hive Searcher e ho scoperto in meno di 1 secondo che due accounts (mujaffa3 e handmadesoftwar) avevano completamente copiato e plagiato un post scritto 4 anni fa da hive-world.
Hive Searcher è anche integrato nella funzione di ricerca Advanced di @ecency
