What's for dinner?
We have some left- over shredded beef sitting on the freezer from the beef mami my husband cooked last weekend.
We thought of just adding it to the dog's food until it's all consumed but I thought of another way to consume it, beef shawarma!
I wasn't able to buy pita bread and I was feeling lazy to make some so I just prepared shawarma rice.
I sauteed the beef, added some oyster sauce, spices and other seasonings.
Then I thinly sliced some white onions, tomatoes and cucumber. I bought these in the market when we went to town earlier this afternoon.
For the sauce, it's just grated garlic, some garlic powder, mayonaise, greek yoghurt, black pepper and sugar.
Make sure to mix the ingredients well. I made a lot of this sauce because I looove it.
For the rice, it's just left-over rice cooked in margarine and I just added some turmeric powder to give it a kick.
Once done, I assembled it in my favorite bowl, added some sauce and I saw a cheez wiz in pouch on the fridge so I squeezed some.
So yummy!
I ate dinner alone as my husband and son went to my sister-in-law's house and they told me they are going to have dinner there.
