My last vacations brought some much needed days of relaxation. Nevertheless, I was still left missing more contact with nature and wildlife.
So, similar to this thai squirrel, I'm mentally in a prayer mode to add more moments in nature as soon as possible.
Not that I didn't had nature in those vacation days; fortunately I visited some natural parks, stayed in places very close to tropical forests, and was even able to enjoy the nature below the seas. I just want MORE of it.
I miss being the whole day in a nature trail, away from civilization; just the sounds of nature and the wildlife within. Most of these photos were taken in that mood, hence the perfect fit for a #monomad challenge.
I know I'll likely won't be travelling to Thailand or Italy in the next couple of months, but I already have some plans to discover a nature trail in Portugal that I have been wanting to do for some time. And now that the days are getting longer and the temperatures are rising, it seems the timing is right.
Pretty sure I wont find monitor lizards there, but there are cute lizards in that area too, albeit way smaller than these ones. Well, we have to be thankful for what we have; I will consider myself lucky if I can see some of them, the bigger ones are the prettiest, but also the most elusive!
Regardless of the wildlife encounters, just being on the outdoors, breathing fresh air, and enjoying the view, will be more than enough for a weekend getaway. Already counting the days; the date is still not set, but will come soon.
Who knows, maybe the coming photos will appear on a monochromatic post, in a near future! Until there, I'll have to settle with revisiting the one stored in the photo archives... and in my brain.
