Can't say it is a proper trip down memory lane, since the memories are still very fresh in my memory. But a #monomad challenge seemed a good way to head back to last couple of days, remembering some of the sights from the south.
How big it is to be able to leave home, and in a few minutes, be able to walk with these views?

Both of these sightings are from a walking trail, that to my delight was filled with photographers, people running and biking, or simply taking a stroll, enjoying the warm sun and the views.
When I say delight, is not that I want to see places like these filled with people; while walking in nature and seeing wildlife, I do want as few people as possible around. But in times where nature seems to be more and more neglected, and people prefer to stare at screens, it's good to see places like this being enjoyed. Besides... who doesn't enjoy playing peak-a-boo with little creatures like these?
A word of caution, most of them experts at the game! You do find some, though, that prefer to pose for the photographers instead.
I would have loved mr. spoonbill to have shown a couple of hours before, while the sun was still high in the horizon, and the light conditions were perfect for a photoshoot. But well, it is what it is; we have to appreciate being able to admire these creatures from such a close distance, even if the photo conditions aren't decent for my camera. And I can always take pictures of the flora...
... while waiting for the birds to come.

There are so many gems in this part of the country, that I definitely have to do this more often. Even storks come to the beach side!
Why shouldn't they, after all? There's food, good views, and they can hang around with the cute fiddler crabs.
Mother Nature is the best, isn't it?
