Hello Hive family. I hope you all are doing well ।
The sky has been cloudy since morning. The Hatu Peak as seen from my house looks breathtaking as always, partially covered in mist. There is something about cloudy days that makes the surroundings mesmerizing. Today instead of tending to my garden I decided to go to the forest.
The forest behind my little cottage is a place of peace and tranquility as always. I love walking through the tall evergreen trees. These trees stand tall like the original protectors of the earth, telling stories to those who take the time to listen. The ground is covered with dry grass and fallen pine cones.
One of my favorite things to do during this walk is to collect pine cones. These little gifts from nature are great for lighting a fire. Somewhere up there I heard the rhythmic tapping of a woodpecker. I was not alone on this walk, as always my dog was with me. Watching him run around, it seemed like he was more excited to come to the forest than me. His energy never wanes.
