I had one of the sweetest day with my nephew. We headed to Robinson’s Tacloban to buy his school supplies, and honestly, it reminded me why these simple moments matter so much. ❤️☺️
Early bus ride! Mask on and smiles ready!☺️❤️
We woke up early morning and caught the early bus. My nephew wore his colorful kid’s mask to avoid fumes and bus smells. He looked excited and curious, ready for an adventure!
Trying on backpacks! He chose the Mickey Mouse one!☺️
As soon as we arrived at Robinson, we headed straight for the school supplies aisle. My Grade One nephew’s eyes lit up. We checked sizes of bags and he tried some. He ended up with a cute Mickey Mouse backpack that fits just right. It was adorable watching him so proud. That simple yes! when it felt perfect was priceless.
Grade One ready! Pencils, paper and crayons in hand.☺️
Next came the fun part is looking for notebooks, paper, pencils, erasers, crayons, the essentials for a Grade One student. He held each item, comparing colors and styles, excited to choose the ones he’d use every day. It felt like we were building his confidence and a fresh start for school together.
Mission accomplished! Bags full and heart full!☺️❤️
With all his goodies in hand, we made our way to the cashier. He stood there, beaming and holding the paper bag full of school supplies. I’ll always remember that look of accomplishment on his face when he realized, These are mine!
Shopping done! We stopped by at Shakey’s to pick up a pizza for takeout, my nephew’s favorite. It was a fun end cap to our simple adventure together. ☺️
We hopped back on the bus to head home. It was a simple but meaningful adventure. ☺️
School supply shopping wasn’t just an errand. It became a lesson in love, confidence, and growing up. Seeing my nephew step closer to his first day of school made me smile, thankful for these ordinary yet meaningful moments.
Thanks for reading about our little adventure! I’m so proud of my nephew, grade one, ready for school, and brimming with excitement. May this year fill his mind with curiosity and his heart with joy. God bless dear nephew! ☺️💪🙏
