Before reaching up the mountains, there are lota of places and its wonderful views can be seen. One of this is this tall pine trees. This kind of trees can grow at the top of Silica stones. Aside of that, most of the pinetrees we know can only grows in cold and Icy areas but this one can grow and survive in an intense heat brougt by the sunlight. Near at this pinetrees are the road trail heading to the Bandera mountain. It keeps the place cool and have a shady areas were mountain climbers can take a rest for a minute.
Other kinds of trees like Germilina, Molave and mahogany trees can be seen and found here. In fact this trees also have a great contributions to the areas. It keeps the place cool and relaxing, aside of that the soil can be avoided of collapsing or Erosions. Wild animals like birds, snakes, insects and lizards also lives in this thick forest. This place is truly perfect spots especially for those people who loves Nature travel adventure and mountain climbing activities.
Why This Place called Bandera?
Bandera means the tip and highest point of the place. Back in many years, one of those hills at the top of the mountains contains a flagpole. According to the elder people who lives here for many years already, the reason why there is a flagpole on one of the hills here its because to easily indicates and locates the place. It can easily be seen because of its high areas with lots of Wild grass good for animals food.
Bandera hills is very fascinating to see. Those four hills at the top of the big mountain is facing to the wide and overviews areas of Manticao. From here, the low plain areas just like rice field of Manticao, Public Schools, and even Provincial roads can be seen here. This hills is also a boundary point between the two Barangays of Manticao;

There are few houses built near at the place and it supported with electricity. As for that, this tall electric post made of wood installed at the top of the hill attached those cable wires that brings electricity. This cable wires are came from low plain areas were the Substations can be found and built.
As we sees far, the only thing we can see is a small grassed grows at the top of the hill, but if we reached the area the grass are very tall. Mountain climbers who came from far cities loves to do camping here and spent a few days. Bandera mountains is also good for Animal ranch on which different kinds of farm raising animals like Cows and Goats feed in here. Bandera mountain is truly a paradisiacal and a perfect spot to relaxed ourselves together with our Family or friends.
