Market on the mountainside

Hello asean hive friends!
Some time ago, I visited my uncle's house in the city of Semarang. Although I had little time, I also included going to one of the tourist attractions in the city. The location is quite far from my uncle's house. Besides being far away, the route is also a bit uphill because the location is in the highlands. I went there with my two cousins. We went there by motorcycle.

When we arrived at the location, I was confused because what we were going to visit was a temple, but why did we encounter a market? It turns out that to go to the destination from the parking lot, you have to pass through the market first. Actually, I'm not sure if this is a market or not. Why do I call it a market? Because there are so many sellers along the way. They sell various things like in a market, from food, accessories, handicrafts, fruits, clothes and many more. Isn't it natural for me to call it a market? But what's unique about this market is that it's located on a mountainside. To reach this location we have climbed quite high. Of course by riding a motorcycle.

It was my first time here and my first time seeing a market on a mountainside. But in my opinion, maybe they made this market to make it easier for visitors to the temple to get food and drinks. They can buy food or drinks at this market before going to the temple. Because to go to the temple, we have to climb up the mountain a bit. It's not a mountain if you ask me, it's a hill. But you still need to bring drinking water because you will definitely be thirsty after climbing. And well, there is something unique about this market. So, yesterday I got there around 5pm, when the market was still crowded. Then when we went down, it was already dark and the market was deserted without a single person there. Maybe because it's located on a mountainside, they felt unsafe so they closed the shop.

Well, that was a little story of my experience when visiting a tourist spot and finding a market on a mountainside. I hope you enjoy reading my writing and see you next time.

My pleasure!

That roadside market looks cool.
Since it's on a hillside, I bet there is a good view from there.

The view is actually really good
