February 22nd, 2025In the world of delegations there is some big news this week. A new member, @russia-btc, came out of nowhere and blessed us with 900 HP, nearly reaching instant PLATINUM status, and giving this whole community a much welcome boost. That wasn't all that I noticed thought, @antonette came onboard with a fresh 100 HP delegation, landing herself among the SILVERs.
There was another 100 HP delegations as well, @anlizapasaje1234 came onboard with 100 HP, finding herself among the SILVER VIPs as well. Last but not least was @bakermom25 with a 50 HP delegation. She is currently muted for a lack of longform engagement, but perhaps she can eventually get in with the BRONZE VIPs. Until then she is eligible for the daily raffles.
This community is what it is because of its members. Our collective HP is achieved by native and grassroots means, and although we don't have the upvote other communities, I think this has been one of our strengths. We are free of the politics that sometimes plague other communities, and this allows to keep moving forward while growing slowly and sustainably. How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 192,065, and total delegated HP is 176,520 HP (136,298 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
