I think this is the time for me to make a little update on my chili plant that I grow in my small garden at my home. So far I am so happy with how it grow, they looks really healty, and the system that I have seems to be working quite well, although I need to try to fix a few things in the future if I want to make it in a bigger scale.
If you want to see my previous post about the chili and the system that I have, you can check the post that I made exactly a month ago here on hive. You can check my post here
Now back to the plants at their current condition, so far it gorw well, and as you can see in the photo below they already grow big, with so many new branches emerged. Teh thing that I learn is that the chilli will only produce a flower on the new branch, and they can only produce once on that particular brances.
With that being said, that as long as we can try to maintain the growth of the new branch from the plant, we can expect more flower and then more fruit in the future. But to keep those flowers so that they can be polinated and become the fruit is another story which I think I need to observe and see what I need to improve in the future.
The leaves is also quite big with lovely greeen color, so far I don't see any fungal desease that attack the plant. I have not use any fungicide so far, so hopefully things will be ok.
Here are some of the new flower that appear on the plants, which is really good and I am so happy for it. I just need to maintain them, as weel as prepare for any fruit flies that can ruin the crop like how it affected my previous plant.
Here are some of the plants that I planted using the conventional method, which is only using soil and some plant's pot and also polybag.
so far the growth is good as well, but not as fast as the one that uses the wick system. And this guy is also lucky because now I am home, so that there will be no water stress issue anymore, just because my wife forget to water the plant. hahaha
Here is some of the flaws in the leaves, not sure what kind of insect muching on the leaves, and left a few hole like that. I will make more update in the future, when i made any harvest or when the fruit are presents. that is all for now.
happy gardening.
