Moonkarts: Let burn FUEL and rule the COLONY.
Moonkart by Arcade colony is currently the most buzzing game in the Hive ecosystem. It is fun game where you race with Kart which can be customized as per the parts and accessories available in the game and will allow you to play in both Single and Multiplayer mode. At my initial days, I played on single-player mode but now I decided to check game on multiplayer mode.
In my last post, I have outlined the steps that are required to generate the FUEL in the game, one of the necessary ingredients if you want to take part in the multiplayer battle. Taking part in the multiplayer battle is necessary if you like to earn COLONY tokens as Play2earn rewards in the game. Since I have generated enough FUEL by staking my cards and SCRIPT , that can easily cover my FUEL expenses for the multiplayer race, so I decided to give a go have some fun and earnings from it. I know, I have to do lot of work regarding my Kart and very specifically, I need some good gear that can help in handling the Kart. Good news is that I have now figure out about the gears and will be sharing the same in the later part of this post.
For taking part in the multiplayer battle, all you need to click on the "Multiplayer" tab in the game, it will land you on the another page, where you will see the amount of the "FUEL" required to take part in the race under the section heading of the "Fuel Consumption". This screen will also allow you to assign the driver, kart and other cards or tech gear. Once you are done with equipping and ready for racing, then you can click on "Find match Now".
As you can see, game has started the finding match for me and I guess if it is not able to find match in specific time period , I guess may be in a minute, it start the race by default.
Since race is started and it is 3 lap race and I completed all 3 laps. Look like I was competing alone, so even as a rookie, I finished first. I guess they need to place some "default" karts to fill up the spot, so that a competing feeling be there. I also saw players update in game discord when they go for multiplayer race so that fellow players can join them in the real time for the race.
For the better Kart handling.
I guess, the main difference is here it is not the "Car" but the "Kart" and look like Kart is more difficult to handle then Car. If you go for the basic Kart, then it will become too difficult to handle the kart and you have to equip the tech gear in the kart, so that you can have fun in handling the kart, To find the information about the same , I was reading the game documentation as well as the fellow veteran player posts. Do also check the excel linked in this post, that gives a good idea about the Kart, driver and tech gear selection. In the official documentation Gitbook you can refer to game play mechanics. Once you know about the tech gear, then you can go in the SHOP to buy packs and based on their utility equip in your Kart or you can go to Market to see if the desired card is available for purchase.
