Hello Fellow Splinterlands Summoners
I do not count how many times I have been telling you all about this, soon the reward cards for Rebellion edition will be closed, and we move on to new Conclave Arcana edition.
We do not know exactly when, there is no announcement has been published yet, but regarding Conclave Arcana edition has been released for near a month, we should not wait too long about this. Because when the due date is released, I do not think we will have enough cards to get them.
Currently I have stopped chasing the epics and legendary soulbound cards, because I want to make sure that my Common(s) and Rare(s) are not too weak to compete with others, in general of course. So let's take a look of them here..
COMMON CARDS
This is my common cards selection. Overall I do not think it is bad, because I have all the cards in Gold Foil. I am a gold foil player, so all my cards are supposed to be in Gold Foil.
However there is a problem in this common cards selection, and the problem is my Chaos Evoker. I do not think she is competitive enough with that level 4 only.
I believe the proper one is to get her to reach level 5. At level 5 she will get Ambush ability, which allow her to takes an extra turn prior to the first round of the battle. This means three things:
- She will attack twice in the first round.
- Attacking first means she will remove extra divine shield too
- She might be able to eliminate an extra units from her blast damage.
So having level 4 Chaos Evoker and level 5 Chaos Evoker is not about only 1 level difference but that ability she gets will change everything. It will be a new different meta you could deploy with that extra ambush ability.
So here is what I do now
I am buying 40 Gold Foil Commons here. Prior I was thinking about doing this in Rare rarity, but as you can see above, it needs 300.000 Glints Point and I do not have that many.

Ok that's my newly acquired Commons Gold Foil cards. Honestly those cards are a disappointment for me, I do not get even a single copy of Chaos Evoker.
My Chaos Evoker are still what they are before, no new copies. It's not a good day for me, and honestly I wish not to talk about this lol. Sometime RNG just go wrong right this.
Next week I will try to pulling out 40 more common Gold Foil cards. I will keep doing this until my Chaos Evoker reaches level 5, then after it I could shift my focus to rare Gold Foil cards.
RARE CARDS
I know this is a bit too soon. I should wait until I get my level 5 Chaos Evoker, but to ease my disappointment today, I will buy a few rare gold foil soulbound cards.

Well I got Chaos Adjustant, Thunderhoof Nomad and Skyspire Leopard. I do not have a decent rare soulbound cards so any cards are welcomed here.
Actually the goal of the rare will be getting Drybone Megalodon. Drybone Megalodon will be a good one after he reaches level 4, where he will get retaliate ability and it is a good ability for a main tank position.
As you can see above, I have no gold foil Drybone Megalodon. Currently I do not feel pressured by having no this Megalodon, because there are some melee unit with flank ability in Conclave Arcana edition. We can say there are some subtitute for this Drybone Megalodon, maybe things will be different when Rebellion edition is out from Modern format.
So today I can only upgrade this Thunderhoof Nomad in my selection. Leveling up her from level 2 to level 3 does not bring any much different, but still it is good because I believe all rare rarity cards should be pushed up above level 4. There will be battles where a 1 health point different or 1 speed different could decide the outcome.
