5 Cents "Jefferson Nickel" Louisiana Purchase

in Silver Gold Stackers11 days ago

I started to like making psot about the coin, because I learn here and there about the history of the coin, and also the history about the world that is link to the coin that I have. And some as well the value of the coin, especially some of the worthless coin that we have here in my country.

Today I learn about the The Louisiana Purchase (French: Vente de la Louisiane, lit. 'Sale of Louisiana') was the acquisition of the territory of Louisiana by the United States from the French First Republic in 1803. because of the engrave that is available on this five cent coin. This is also be the second foreign coin in my collection, I wish to be able to share more in the future.

It is really interesting how American Founder bought some of the land from the other settler in the past to build the current nation, I only know about the Alaska trade, and also the Texan part, but now I learn about the Lousiana Purchase. Such a big purchase in the past. I wonder what would it be if France didn't decide to sell its colony back then.

I was surprise a little bit when I first have this coin, because as you cna see there is this 1803 year engrave in the coin, I though that I hit a jackpot to be able to get this old coin, but it means other thing. hahaha

On the flip side of the Louisiana deal was when the French purchased this land from the Spanish in 1800. I have this authentic Spanish 2 Reales from the El Cazador that was to deliver emergency coinage to shore up the economic needs of the Spanish colony. The colony collapsed, the needed silver coins and ship never made it and the El Cazador was discovered sunk not far south from the Mississippi delta in 1993.

How much that coin cost you? You hold a piece of History Kerry. :)
a history that changed the world. It seems that sometime one accident can greatly determine thee outcome of the crisis.

I've been into U.S. Nickels ever since I can remember... When the U.S. Monetary Reset happens, that Nickel will have the Spending Power of 5 of today's Fiat USD's... You may want to take a peek at my posts...

well, that is a very big change in the spending power. It is kinda hard to get some of the coin, I was lucky to be able to get it, a little gift from the guest, which I think will never happen in the future as I quit my job. :)

I figure the Fiat USD's have lost 99% of their Spending Power over the years, leading me to believe there will be a 100 to 1 Exchange Rate back to Sound Money... Our Common Coinage will be Grandfathered in as "Sound Money"... We'll be returning to Silver and Gold "Coin" backed Money... Common U.S. Coinage will be the best place to be when the Reset happens, but nobody sees it coming...

🎉🎉🥳 Congratulations 🥳🎊🎊
