Prelude
Good day to all, hope that you are doing well and battling often in Splinterlands. With the launch of Conclave Arcana, we are now moving into a new era of game play and for sure there will be new strategies to be formed. And the developers wanted to give everyone a chance to experience the new abilities and all, did give players a free season of playing in wild. So if you have yet to try and experience do spend some time unless all you have is modern cards. For me, I do possess quite a large quantity of cards that can only be played in wild and today I will be showcasing a match that involve cards that I haven't played for a while and relieving how it had been doing great previously.
I realized I really have many cards in wild format now after Chaos Legion rotate out. And in today's match, I even call upon cards that are even older.
So let's get right into the match.

Selection Analysis
We have 3 splinters available for selection - Fire, Water, and death. By right I would have chosen death since death has many low health cards that will benefit from the equalizer ruleset but instead I went back on my trusty water splinter.
So here is my selection of the lineup. I've chosen to go with Kelya Frendul, my trusty sumoner since the days when Chaos Legion was the anchoring set. Instead of choosing Oshannus, I picked Diemonshark with a consideration of doing more damage on a card via the melee path instead of meeting another Oshannus and the attack gets halved. Next will be Tide Biter, a card that can reach and also do some good damage from 2nd position. To help create another barrier, River Hellondale comes next and will resurrect a card and use that as a further meat shield till a magic attacker wrecks it. Next will be Musa Saline which will have scavenge to further gain more health as the match goes on and cards getting killed. Following which will be Deeplurker that strikes real hard with 3 damage via opportunity and lastly an old friend, Axemaster that had always feature in my lineup back in the days when I was playing wild more often with the double strike.
On my opponent end, my opponent used Kelya as well and had a very similar lineup. In terms of tank, opponent used Oshannus and was folowed by Pelacor Bandit which will strike with sneak. Next will be Venari Wavesmith that is meant to give additional protection via 2 more armour. Opponent also used Musa Saline which I believe is the same purpose as mine. The last 2 cards are Swamp Spitter for armour repair and similar to mine, Axemaster to wrap up the lineup to deal more damage.
Two very similar lineup and both of us featured a classic favourite card, Axemaster. I had a little more thought into my lineup with the Resurrection and more attack output from Deeplurker. Let's see if it worked well in such a ruleset.
Round by Round Synopsis
Round 1 - Loads of punishment being inflicted by both side with Oshanns more injured in view of the armour getting shaved off and Deeplurker landing a strong hit on it. Hope Diemonshark can hold a little longer.
Round 2 - Oshannus was taken out by Axemaster and loads of exchange as we see even Diemonshark unable to pull through and was resurrected by River Hellondale.
Round 3 - Axemaster continue to be a threat from both sides shaving off card armour and health with ease. Tide Biter took out Pelacor Bandit and we are moving fast with Deeplurker always landing big damage after Axemaster open up the armour.
Round 4, Battle continues with Tide Biter holding strong and we cleared out Venari Wavesmith to remove the protection of the additional 2 armour. Time for us latch on to the advantage and push towards the range cards on my opponent side to secure a stronger position.
Round 5 and 6, The barrage of attack continues as my lineup continue to push and clear off cards with Tide Biter also falling but we have finally clear Musa Saline on my opponent end and we are now facing 2 range cards which will of ease to clear off.
Round 7-10, it was just exchanges as we cleared off Swamp Spitter first before finally taking out Axemaster whom had no more protection and was in 1st position. A nice win and so glad to once again use one of my favourite classic cards that I have not used for a very long time.
Battle Summary
A nice win against an almost similar lineup. In this match, my Axemaster and Deeplurker combo really hit hard. One clear the armour and the other to land a big strike. This 2 when paired together, Equalizer or not, their damage output is really consistent and just clear anything in their way.
