Prelude
Hi all, good day to all of you. It's time again for Community Engagement Challenge. Today's topic is on Combo Chronicles, so I will be sharing a match which showcase synergy within my team/lineup which I like putting together whenever I use Fire Splinter.
Inspiring Demoralization
In today's combo and team synergy, the key will be to act on the attacking stats on both sides.
Inspire, an ability that gives additional +1 melee attack will ensure your lineup hit harder than what your opponent can.
Demoralize, an ability reduces the melee attack of all my opponent lineup by 1.
So with inspire and demoralize being applied, you effectively have an equivalent 2 attack more than what your opponent had, especially when sparring using melee attacks. Goal will be to hit harder and reduce getting damaged. A very simple fuss free thinking on strategy by it really works.
In the past when it first started which I shared a while back then, all I had on modern was Portly Cannoneer for the inspire. But when I exchanged my glint for legendary pull, I manage to get Emberguard which gives the demoralize and bring way more synergy to the lineup. This simple stat advantage actually goes a long way and help me win numerous battles because we had higher effective damage.

Mana Limit: 41

Selection Analysis
In the matchup, we have 2 splinters available for selection, just fire and death splinters. For me, because of the mana range, somehow I preferred Fire to Death and hence I picked Fire for this particular match up as I know with Thick Skinned ruleset, my inspiring demoralization combination will work well.
To lead the lineup, I call upon Fithe Bloodstone, fire splinter elf bloodline archon which gives the lineup +2 armour and specifically for dwarves, they get additional void ability which gives better defending against magic attackers. Leading the lineup for this match is Drybone Megalodon. A hard hitting melee card that has flanking and will give melee card in 2nd position with no other abilities to strike. However, for this particular match, I did not place a card that can capitalize this ability because the ruleset is Thick Skinned, so I will not be able to benefit from Mana Warden's ability to give shield to Drybone Megalodon. Instead, I placed Torch Vizier in 2nd position which has nice stats and opportunity to strike any low health card. Next in the lineup is Emberguard which is a magic attacker but is able to demoralize my enemy lineup. Following Emberguard, it is Chaos Evoker which hits for 2 magic and have blast which will come in handy to reduce opponent lineup health upon getting hit. Next in the lineup is Portly Cannoneer which is the one that inspires the lineup with more melee damage. Last in the lineup is Mad Ogre Anarchist. This card is also gonna benefit from the melee boost but at the same time, this card serve also as a protection for Portly to keep the melee attack boost ongoing for as long as I can. This is what I lined up for my opponent.
Opponent apparently used the foundation death splinter archon, Thalgrimore which gives -1 health to my lineup. Leading their lineup is Ulundin Overseer which is really a big thick wall to face. And behind this thick wall, opponent used a card that can benefit the most from it, which is Thraghun because it can hide behind and use its dual attack to the fullest till Ulundin falls. Next in the lineup is also a card I love to use, Helheim Demon that diverts attacks towards it to keep the rest of the lineup safe. The last card that is on the lineup is Filthy Scavenger which can hit for 3 damage and has opportunity. Looks like a really good card and the first time I meeting it. Having 3 damage for such a cheap mana cost is really great.
A definite nice matchup with both sides putting up really good lineups while on my end, I wanna let my combo see how it is able to fend off a very decent lineup my opponent put up.
So let's get ready to battle!
Round by Round Synopsis
Round 1 - A round of massive attacks towards both side where there was no casualties but we can see that a couple of cards have the health badly reduced such as Helheim Demon and also some armour taken out from my cards.

Round 2 - The only casualty this round came in Helheim Demon whom was taken out quickly when round start by Torch Vizier. Drybone Megalodon had been having multiple crippling strikes and had now only 1 health remain. The remaining of the lineup looked ok as we continue to clear out the massive Ulundin Overseer's defence.

Round 3 - Another quiet round but we showed good progress in clearing out the armour and health on Ulundin. Thankfully no more magic attacker on opponent side, otherwise Drybone Megalobon would definitely fall.

Round 4 - Everything wrapped up this round with Thraghun first being taken out by Torch Vizier then subsequently Emberguard took out Ulundin and finally Mad Ogre Anarchist took out Filthy Scavenger. A nice win clocked with no cards fallen on my side which saw how the synergy helped me overcome my opponent in an overwhelming fashion.
Battle Summary
A simple combo that manipulate the melee attack stats of mine and my opponent. No rocket science, just boosting my own and reducing my opponent's to grab the victory. Easy to pick up and easy to deploy. Have them work together and you will see how you will be striking opponent while they scratch you.
Wrap Up
Thank you for coming by my post and walking through with me on my simple combo that works well when fighting hard using melee. Though one needs to note that if opponent is heavy on magic, it will not work as well.
