Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: The importance of the correct lineup!

in Splinterlands12 hours ago

Namaste to all the citizens of Splinterlands!🙏

In today's 🌟Splinterlands Social Media Challenge🌟, I'm going to show you a battle featuring the Torrent Sniper card I recently won from the Reward Shop, as promised. This is the first time I've battled with this card, and it was exciting to see how, even after my most important tank was knocked out, this card's powerful stats gave the other cards the courage to persevere, and together they secured the victory. I hope you will enjoy this post!🔥

Let's go straight to the new battlefield itself!

The ruleset for this battle was "Death Has No Power," meaning that all abilities that activate upon a card's defeat on the battlefield would remain deactivated for both teams. The mana cap was 38, which is neither too low nor too high, and all elements were active for this battle. Therefore, we both had complete freedom to build our teams with any element, but coincidentally, we both chose the Water element and appointed Marlai Singariel as our summoner.

So here, the Summoner's power increased the Magic Power of all its allied cards by +1. After that, my card with the Weaken ability reduced the health of the enemy cards by -1, and the enemy card's Slow ability reduced the speed of all my cards by -1. Up to this point, everything seemed normal in terms of power distribution, although based on attack power, the enemy was clearly stronger, which was evident.

The direct proof of this came when the enemy eliminated one of the best tank cards, not only in this battle but also among all the water cards in my deck, in the very first round. This was nothing short of a shock, as this card was the team's main and only shield. I had never tested the other cards directly on the battlefield before, so after this card was knocked out, I felt like the battle was lost.

This was the moment when the card I won from the reward shop was at the forefront of my lineup. Although the opponent also had only two cards left, at this stage, if you look at attack power, my opponent has a total of 6 attack power, and I have 5. If you look at health, my opponent has a total of 12 health, and my cards have a total of 10 health. I'm not counting armour here because, in normal conditions, armour is useless against magic attacks anyway. And finally, if you look at speed, the opponent's cards are faster than mine. In every way, the opponent's team is superior to my cards, so how can victory be ensured here?

I think, and you'll agree when you watch this battle, that one reason for my victory was the positioning of the opponent's cards. If the opponent's card with higher health had been in the front, like my cards were, it would have withstood both of my cards' attacks, and then on its turn, my cards would have been weakened. The second reason is related to the first, and that is the health of my current frontline card, which survived both of the opponent's attacks. After that, on my next turn, my cards' attacks took down one of the opponent's cards, weakening them further.

In this battle, you witnessed not only a display of power but also a demonstration of strategy. You'll see in this battle just how crucial the correct positioning of your cards can be. In Splinterlands, you can't win a battle solely on powerful cards; you have to be both powerful and clever. It's essential to understand the implications of the rules and carefully build your team, taking all factors into account. As you finesse your strategies with better cards, you'll find Splinterlands is an ocean of rewards and a lot of fun. The deeper you delve, the more you'll benefit from it.🔥
