Namaste to all the Warriors of Splinterlands!🙏
In this week's 🌟Splinterlands Social Media Challenge🌟 I will tell you about a battle in which, even with Thorns ruleset and very little mana, I used a little bit of brainpower to build a strong team, and according to my strategy, the enemy paid the price for his selection.
The total mana cap for this battle was 15, including the summoner's mana cost, as we all know. And the ruleset for this battle is Briar Patch.
My lineup for this outstanding battle!
Position | Summoner/Monsters | Abilities |
---|---|---|
Summoner | Prophet Rosa | +2 Ranged to two units or Shield to 1 unit |
1st Position | Halfling Refugee | Weary and Thorns |
2nd Position | Daigendark Surveyor | Magic Reflect and Thorns |
3rd Position | Daarg Deadblast | Weapons Training, Swiftness, and Thorns |
___
I created my team by using 15 of my total mana cap!
Let's now look at the Battlefield and how all the cards are positioned!
Before the cards get summoners' powers!
After the cards get the summoner's powers!
I think this is a pretty good lineup for a battle with such low mana and this Briar Patch ruleset.
The briar patch ruleset means that every card in this battlefield will have the Thorns ability. If you understand this ability then you will know that Thorns has one and only enemy, melee, which means melee cards should be avoided for this battle but since I did not have any other card with more health in less mana which I could place in the first place, I had to choose the Halfling Refugee melee card for the first place. But to give it protection I used my Summoner's Shield ability and because apart from melee, there was a high possibility of Magic cards being present in this battle, so right after it in the second position I have placed a no attack card which has Magic Reflect ability, which means that this card will return 50% attacks to the magic attackers every time, which gives an additional strength to my team and finally I have placed Daarg Deadblast who has Weapons Training ability, which will train my second position card and also give +1 speed to all the allied cards.
Round 1🔥
Here in the first round, both of our first positioned cards got knocked out one after the other, which was bound to happen as these cards have fulfilled their purpose, and now it is the turn of the main warriors of this battle to fight. If you look at the attacking power here, the enemy seems stronger, but you will be surprised to see the battle ahead.
Round 2🔥
Did you see? In the second round, the enemy's zapper card knocked out my current first positioned card in a single attack but since this card of mine had the Magic Reflect ability, the enemy got 50% of its heavy attack in return instantly after which the only card left with the enemy now has only one health and let me remind you that my remaining card is yet to attack in this round. ✌️
This was the slightest difference in my strategy that I prepared myself for this battle by understanding the effect of the rule set and estimating the possible situations. I hope you have now understood how important it is to pay attention to the ruleset and team selection. Keeping in mind every possible situation, you can make a better team even in low mana battles. And as I always say that it is not just about winning or losing, important is to know how everything happened in the battle because based on that, you improve your strategy and learn from the shortcomings and correct them. So I am sharing this battle.
