You all know that the entire foundation of battle in Splinterlands is based on a ruleset. Although other factors like selection of summoner and then team building are also very important in themselves, but it is the ruleset from which everything starts and which has the power to make even your best team weak and the weakest team strong on the battlefield. It all depends on how seriously you have taken the ruleset.

First, let us understand the ruleset!

Healed Out!

Healed Out! As per its definition, units, as well as archons, lose all abilities that restore health.

It's hard to tell if I fear this rule set the most or if I like it the most. Last season, I reached very close to 1500 in the in-game ranking for the first time, and this season too, I am currently around 1400. I have noticed that with increasing rankings, the game gets more difficult, and in higher-ranked battles, your opponents are smarter than you.

I am still learning the game, the cards in my deck are not that good yet, and I have still not learned how to use some abilities to their fullest and best advantage. Although I have learned to use the health-restoring ability with some cards properly and have won many battles with it, I have noticed that now, especially in higher-ranking battles, my opponents are able to use these abilities better, and I often lose many battles because of that. So this way, you can call 'Healed Out' the ruleset that I like because in this, neither of the two teams can use any kind of health restoration abilities.

How do I create my team in this ruleset?

Now that I know that no health restoration is possible, my focus is on adding cards with more health from the beginning rather than adding a larger number of cards. But this alone may not be enough because in high mana battles, you can build a strong team by adding maximum cards with low attack power, and also if you adopt a strategy of increasing the attacking power of all your cards by using Archon's powers, then it can also create problems for the opponent.

But in this ruleset, I am especially focused on better stats and as many shields as possible and abilities to make attacks stronger. As you can see in the above lineup, the number of cards I have is much less than the opponent because my focus was on quality, not quantity. My first place card has a relatively good attack power as well as other stats, and on top of that, the Shield ability, which provides protection from physical attacks. All of this makes this card a great defender and attacker.

Compare all this with the cards of the opponent. However, this thing can change in every battle. It is possible that in some battles, the opponent also focuses on quality instead of quantity and makes a team with fewer but stronger cards, but then that battle will be more interesting because then it will be a fairly equal battle.

Apart from this, the same basic rule applies to my second position card, that it is more important to have good stats, and also the card should have some kind of protection or ability to enhance the attacking power, which you will get to see even better in this grey card. This is the first card that I bought on Splinterlands, and it is my favourite. Apart from its good attacking power and stats, its abilities also make it an unmatched card. While the Flying ability provides up to 25% protection from physical attacks, the Kindred Spirit ability gives true strike to the adjacent card, and the Reach ability enables performing attacks from the second position. This card is a power pack, and that is why it is my second line of defence.

Although I had added a total of 4 cards in this battle, but due to less mana, I could not choose the fourth card of my choice, but apart from that, the third card is a magic attacker, which has impressive health, speed and attacking power, and its ability is Void, which gives it protection from magic attacks up to 50%. If you look at all these cards together, then my team has all types of attackers who have various types of shields and with comparatively better health and speed. In this battle, my Archon is also going to give +1 armour and +1 speed to the team, which will prepare all these cards to attack first, apart from giving them extra protection, which is an advantage in itself.

This is the strategy with which I prepare my team in this ruleset. If this ruleset was not there, then there would have been a big change in strategy because then I would also have to focus on healing cards and I have noticed in most cases the card with healing ability becomes a separate headache until defeated. By the way, I am trying to add better cards to my deck for that situation as well and will hopefully soon start using it to the best possible extent, which will definitely improve my in-game strength.
