Splinterland's: Strengthening my Gladius cards.
When Brawls started, I used tp play the brawls regularly, and they used to be a great way to earn MERITS, which can be redeemed for the Gladius cards. It was my routine to open the Gladius pack regularly and keep updating my Gladius cards. Also our guils was also participating in Brawls to get crowns so that the Guild had enough crowns to update the required buildings.
For some reason, I have taken a break from the Hive and Splinterland's for a year, and interestingly, when I joined back, I observed that the interest in playing the Guild Brawls is almost non-existent. Though I played in a couple of the brawls initially then I also lost interest and it caused a setback for upgrading the Gladius cards.
It is not like that I am not getting MERITS, as I am getting MERITS as rewards in the reward chests, and these MERITS keep getting accumulated.
So, today I purchased 10 Gladius packs from my accumulated MERITS and decided to open them to check on my luck. This is also needed because after not upgrading my Gladius cards for so long, it is also caused my Gladius cards at low level. Unfortunately with no way to buy these cards, it becomes necessary to open Gladius cases/packs.
So I opened up my 10 Gladius packs to receive 50 cards. It yielded me 3 Epic cards including a Quora Townshead and one common gold foil. Though it is not a great pull but still it is not a bad pull as I got 3 Epics cards from it. After my pull, I decided to check on my cards that can be upgraded.
Luckily, I am able to upgrade my HELMET KHARAFAX, Currently I do not use this card much, because my first preference is to pick "Captain Katie" when I pick Life splinter Gladius cards.
Another card that get upgraded is HUUGO STRONGSWORD, and upgrading give me the "Healing power" . I think at the current stats it can be a great cards in mid mana range batlle, that is around of 25 to 32 mana.
My 2 cents.
Sometimes you get lucky or get an remarkable moment but in some cases you keep building slowly towards your goal. Frankly speaking , Having the level 3 Quora Townshead will be a remarkable achievement, or able to level up my Captain Katie to level 4 and then to level 5. But something requires a constant discipline and constant effort to reach there. May be my next remarkable achievement is to get 500K SPS stake but I am constantly working for these remarkable achievements and now reached close to 400K SPS.
Before I leave, I will share the one of my achievement in the current season, where I unlocked Diamond 2 league and chests.

Some 5 rare cards are highlight of this pull and it is also helping me to upgrade my cards.
