Splinterlands: I challenge you.
One of the primary objective of playing games is to have fun and if you are able to play games with your friends then the fun element is multiplied. It is not always the win or loss count in the game sometimes it is all about how much refreshed, energetic, and jovial you are feeling after playing games.
When in community challenge theme of this week featured "Custom Challenge", it strike to mind that "custom challenge" is such an awesome feature but maybe most of the players might not aware of it, especially in the new UI it is positioned a little far away from the "Battle" in the game.
Since I already excited you with the possibility of having custom challenges, man maybe you are now eager to throw a "custom challenge" to your friends so let me help you explore it.
Just above the "BATTLE" button, there is "CHALLENGE" that I had already highlighted by encircling in the yellow. To do the custom challenge, you have to click on it and you will see the below screen.
Once this screen pop up, everything here is little self explanatory, you have to just add the opponent name (that is Hive username appended "@" at the start of the game. In Allowed cards, you can make a selection of card types like All,Alpha, Modern, Gladiator, Gold cards etc. Since it is drop-down menu, you can make a selection from menu. Same you can do for the "Summoner Level caps". Now next 3 selections are optional but if you like to control Mana, ruleset and Elements that can be used in the game.
After doing all the selection, "SEND" the challenge. As in "ranked battle" , this challenge also needs to be played in real-time. So get the confirmation with your friend and get both of you prepared if you want to do "Custom Challenge".
So can I throw "Custom challenges" to earn?
You do not earn anything from the "Reward pool" for playing Custom Challenges and nor do you lose any energy from game for doing custom challenges. So overall it is added in game as fun perspective so that you can play with your friends, of course, if you are deciding to share some booty between yourself based on outcomes then it is another scenario.
So why use "Custom Challenges"?.
Custom Challenges not only a great way to bond together with you friends but also look like a great way to test strategies between friends. Just wondering if you can keep sending the same custom challenge to play and keep perfecting you team until you get the right balance you are looking it.
