Splinterlands : Current changes helped me to unlock Diamond 3, Diamond 2, Diamond 1, and reach the leaderboard positions.
When Splinterland's announced its decision to get away with the Single Leaderboard for all players, and removed the DEC prizes from the leaderboards, I was not thinking too much about that change. I was somewhat in the feeling that DEC has gone that will remove one of the DEC producing methods. Since DEC is replaced with "Glint" that is game internal currency, its inflation will not affect much, as "Glint" is used to purchase the Soulbound cards only, so the market supply of cards remains constant. Top players that were already having so many cards will get more cards using their earned "Glint" in the Leaderboard. I never thought that I am also going to be a top player myself sitting in the Leaderboard.

So overall, these changes helped in this season, will it be going to me help out in the next season? Actually how they helped me suddenly in this season.
League Leaderboards used to exist earlier also , but what exactly changed this time ?
1. Leagues for Leaderboards are now fixed based on the previous season.
In the current system, ranked play league get automatically advanced based on your ranking, If you remember in earlier League Leaderboard implementation, you can deny the league promotion, if you do not want to play on a higher league. It actually meant that so many high ranking player playing in lower league, even though they have scored too high ranking points to be promoted on other league. In current system you cannot contain yourself in the league, so your leagues will change.
For Example, Last season I was not able to reach Diamond 1, and my overall rating at the end of season was 3160, so I started the season with Gold League (season reset to 2600) and in Gold League Leaderboard. In this season I already crossed 3500 ranking , And I expect to close the season above 3400+ ranking that means in current season reset, I will start in Diamond 1 league and will compete for the Diamond League leaderboards. Ironically, in current scenario, top 50 of current Gold League Leaderboard will not be competing in the Gold League, instead they will be competing in the Diamond League Leaderboards. This will now give chance to other players to dominate Gold League Leaderboards in next season.
Actually, this also explain why I had too tough last season because in the last season I was constantly competing with the players of the champion leagues that got reset to the Diamond League, and me being a Diamond League player I had tough time in winning matches,
My cards are getting better with time.
I do not have max deck earlier and still I do have one now, but current one do have max summoners and many max monsters, definitely it helped in playing the current league system.

Rank 23 at this time.
Improved to rank 14.
At current, I slipped in rankings but I am confident that I may end the season in top 50.
