Splinterland's: Doctor Blight is the Brightest.

Doctor Blight is the card that I did not purchased but I got airdropped for buying the CHAOS legion packs. When I first saw the first glimpse of the Doctor Blight, I was much convinced that this is really going to a very strong cards. To be honest, Doctor Blight did not disappoint me with its abilities and my latest battle is one of the testimony to it.

In the latest Splinterland's Social Media Challenges theme is for showcasing the epic moments, this battle came into my mind, where I thought that I already lost this battle after watching it for 2-3 rounds and went ahead to "SKIP BATTLE" and was surprised that I actually won this battle and went ahead to watch the entire battle and get amazed by the heroics of the Doctor Blight.

This was high mana battle and frankly speaking, I like to go for the Dragon Summoner "Quix The Devious" but went to "Obsidian" to get +1 attack in the magic. I also want to have "Goblin Psychic" on my team also but went ahead with "Tatiana Blayde" because I thought bloodlust might have the greater utility in the game. In short , for this 52 mana limit, I keep completely reshuffling my team, Did not able to focus fully that which card should I include and which card should I drop, but finally went with the below team before I run out with time.

Finally, I went with the above team and how the team looks after the both summoner and monster abilities have taken effect. "Coeurl lurker" in my opponent's team immediately caught my attention and paired with "Spirit Hoarder", my heart already sunk.

Round 1 ended and frankly speaking, I was happy that I did not lose any of the monsters in my team but nor did my opponent lost any monsters. So at this point of time, I thought do I have a chance?

Seeing my team against my opponent team at the start of round 3, my hand automatically went to "SKIP BATTLE" and I am sure that I lost the battle but what battle result surprised me.

I started replaying the battle, Round 3 went well for me as I took down 2 opponent monsters and lost only 1 of mine, but still it is 4 vs 3 monsters and my 2 monsters just have health of 1 and 2 respectively.

Wow, Here is my Doctor Blight alone against 3 opponent monsters, How it can survive?

Not only it survive the round but hunted down one of the opponent monsters.

Doctor Blight is all set to survive this round also as it will be hit for only 5 damage at max and in turn it is all set to take Spirit Hoarder in this round. After which "Supply Runner" being in first position will be the punching bag for my Doctor Blight.

What exactly helped me to win this battle.

I can admit that my team selection was not upto the mark and I was really confused as I am keep changing the few monsters and their positions but putting Doctor Blight in my team and enhancing it attack using "Obsidian" really paid off. Doctor Blight "poison" ability was a killer in this whole battle where it poisoned many monster. Scavenging ability give it the good amount of the "health" added to it and combination of both really helped me to win my battle.

Nice win. I didn't think you would win either when I first compared the lineup. That scavenger helped out quite a bit to get you that win in the end. It was over once that ranged monster was the only monster left.

Yeah, it is all due to "one man show" by Doctor Blight.

!LOL !PIZZA

I just check the doctor blight card and it's a beast. Its an expensive monster but worth having in cards collection.

yeah, strong cards never go cheap.

I still don't have Dr Blight in my collection but looking at this strategy I am thinking he will be worth adding.
Cheers!

Yeah, it is very good card and ultra useful in 4 mana ruleset battles.
