The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. I am still going to be in modern but I don't really see myself moving over to Wild League at all given my lack of time and the cost of DEC. The new chests being added to the league advancement is good and I was able to collect some extra rewards. I am going with a strategy of purposely losing at the end of the season to get more chests rewards.
Season Rewards
I ended up with 17,110 Glint for last season, which is less than the previous season. I ended up slacking off until the last few days of the season so I think I did well during that push. It's too bad that it wasn't better than the previous season, but at least I reached Gold II. It wasn't as bad moving up there this time around so I wonder if last season was more or less a fluke. Either way, I would say that it's decent for the amount of time that I had.
Above are my rewards from the league advancements. Just like last season, I am getting mainly common and rare cards along with some merits. There were no epic or legendary cards though so my luck just wasn't there. Either way, it's helping to build my common/rare card levels.
This season, I got the above from using my glint. I decided to grab one legendary card and 2 epic cards with my Glint. I think the legendary card is quite good for a mana cost of 4. It sure is quite tanky.
Gladius Packs
I have collected 8 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is the same as last time. The brawls weren't as bad. It was an amazing opening as I got an epic card and a gold foil Katrelba Gobson.
I was able to level up Karetlba Gobson to level 6. It has bloodlust, sneak, and double strike, and increasing its level increased its health by 1. I also got a gold foil version of this at level 3 that I can use in Brawls now.
The next card I upgraded was Chimney Wallstop and it was also to level 6. It has bloodlust, reach and repair. Increasing its level increased its health by 1 and it's a mighty card to use if you have the mana available.
The last card that I upgraded was Quora Towershead to level 4. Increasing its level only gave it one more health, but this is an amazing card with bloodlust, heal, and immunity. It also has duo magic and melee damage.
SPS
My SPS rewards were higher this time because of brawls. The ranked battles were slightly lower but I was expecting it to be a bit higher. Either way, it looks like a pretty good season.
My pool reward for the season is 104.554 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 235.543SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected.
Conclusion
I am still unable to use up all my energy every single day, but I earned more Glint than the previous season. It was only after the season ended that I learned that Glint was boosted due to Splinterlands winning a gaming award. I got quite a few good cards from my openings and I think my deck will win more fights with them. I wish I did more fights, but I didn't know why the glint was boosted.
