Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about Tasoshi Drakamoto.
Yaba’s Pickle
Gold Foil– 2% drop rate (4% with Alchemy Potions) - each card will need 8 Alchemy Potions per card to increase the drop rate. Purchase 50 cards at once to get a guaranteed GOLD FOIL card!. If you use Alchemy potions, the guaranteed odds are 1 in 25.
Black Foil- 1 in 4,000 drop rate (1 in 2,000 with Midnight Potions) - each card will need 8 Midnight potions per card to increase the drop rate. No guarantee on Black Foil.
Tasoshi Drakamoto is a new card available in Exclusive Shop for the price of 250 Vouchers starting June 17th. I think it's a nice card, and you can get them from VOUCHERS. The VOUCHERS can be earned from staking SPS over time, or from buying off the open market. The details can be found in this post. There is also auctions for the Arcane versions of the card that I will talk about later.
From the stats above, we can see that it starts off with just sneak. It learns inspire at level 3, stun at level 5, and spite at level 6. Spite is one of the new abilities that guarantees that it will counterattack when it dies. Overall, I think it's a decent card, but I find that its low-level abilities and stats aren't that great for the mana cost. I do think it starts to excel once it is level 3 as it buffs melee damage though.
The current cost of 250 VOUCHERS is $6.56 on Hive Engine. So I can't say for sure that it's worth it at a low level. Maxing this card would cost you over $300 right now. It's an expensive card, but I still think its fairly powerly.
Gold Foil Arcane Draws

There is a raffle for these Gold Foil Arcane cards. There are only 10 of them, and everyone is put into a pool. As there are ten different pools, you can pick which one you want to attempt. However, it's not guaranteed. After all, someone with 1 entry could easily win given the current structure.
Black Foil Arcane Draws
Starts August 26th
🔨 Only 5 Gold Foil Arcane Tasoshi cards will be distributed — one per day
🔨 Auction Mark Crafting Cost: 1000 Aura, 50 Vouchers, and 1000 DEC
There is a raffle for these Black Foil Arcane cards. There are only 5 of them, and everyone is put into a pool. Similar to the Gold Arcane raffles, there are multiple pools, and it's all up to luck for these limited cards.
Conclusion
Tasoshi Drakamoto is an interesting card as it has a lot of potential, but it's fairly expensive at the current VOUCHER price. I actually do have enough VOUCHERS to buy a copy of this card, so I might just for the heck of it. I wonder how well this sale will go for everyone else. The raffles seem interesting, but I don't think I will try gambling.
