Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about an interesting ruleset combination when combined with the bloodlust ability.
Featured Ruleset

The ruleset that I am going to talk about is No Pain, No Gain, and the info above on rulesets can be found here. In this ruleset, all monsters that are hit by poison or burn get boosted stats.
It is hard to take advantage of this ruleset, but using a burning monster is a good way to trigger the effect. It's best to trigger it on something you can heal or a monster with bloodlust. That bloodlust will allow it to kill more monsters and get even stronger. This is a very interesting ruleset, and it depends on how you build your lineup.

Next is Global Warming. In this ruleset, all monsters start off burned. Combined with the previous ruleset, the burn will boost the stats of the monsters that it damages.
Featured cards

Captain Katie is a life splinter that costs 9 mana. It starts with snipe and bloodlust. Leveling this card gives this card divine shield at level 6.
I think this card is very strong, but since it is a gladiator, you can't use it too often. I do think it's a great card in Brawl, and I have been using it more often ever since I got the gold foil version a month ago. The combination of snipe, magic, and bloodlust just makes this card quite powerful. It just goes straight for the enemy's backline, and it also bypasses their armor. In this case, I am stacking it with the two rulesets to increase its damage through the burn in addition to the bloodlust.
Battle

You can find my battle here. In this battle, I had Captain Katie in the middle of my lineup. It was next to a monster with martyr to boost its stats even further. In addition to that, the previous combination of both rule sets will let the burn also increase the damage even further on Captain Katie. This means that it will be more likely to kill even more monsters, and the bloodlust will make it more powerful. This is a battle of endurance, though, because I could still have Captain Katie die if I can't deal damage fast enough because of the burn.
Conclusion
I saw an opportunity when the two rule sets No Pain, No Gain and Global Warming were combined. They synergize well together as the burn damage given at the start of battle will also increase the damage even further on your monsters. It's a double-edged sword, though because the burn damage can also wipe out your team if the battle lasts long enough. In this fight, I decided to use Captain Katie, and that monster got stronger through the two rule sets. By doing so. Captain Katie was also able to kill even more monsters and trigger bloodlust. The triggered bloodlust increases the chance that Captain Katie will survive the burn damage, and the higher attack will work even more in my favor as the battle goes on. In the end, it's a battle to see who can take out the opponent faster. I never thought about this combination until I saw the match that I had, and it's something neat to consider.
What did you think about this card? Have you used it, and is there anything you would change to make this card even more powerful?
