The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. After the free season of Wild ended, I went back to the modern format. It was rough as I lost quite a few matches, and life got busy. So I didn't get as many fights as I would have liked. I did get more than last season, though.
Season Rewards
I ended up with 9,275 Glint for last season, which is more than what I was getting before. I didn't do so great this time because I only got up to Silver II. My opponents have gotten stronger so maybe my deck isn't strong enough to get enough wins. There was also no bonus ranking Glint. I didn't earn that much as I didn't have enough time to get as many fights.
I tried looking at my history, but I don't see any chest rewards. I am not sure why I didn't move up since I saw myself in Silver, but I have a feeling that the game didn't put me down in the reset range so I was stuck in Silver the entire time. In that case, it makes sense why I was losing so much.
This season, I chose to open 1 epic and 3 commons. I didn't have that much glint so I went for an epic. Nothing that great this time around.
Gladius Packs
I have collected 3 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is one more than last time, and I even forgot to submit my fights to my latest brawl. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything too amazing this time around. There were also no cards that I could upgrade this time around.
SPS
My SPS rewards were higher than last time. It was around what I expected because I didn't do so many ranked battles, but my brawl rewards were higher this time around despite missing a brawl.
It doesn't look like the pool is coming back, so I might move the DEC out of my previous liquidity pool. I plan on staking all of my SPS I got from staking for a total of 143.092 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference.
Conclusion
My season this time was alot weirder than before because I don't think the game actually reduced my rank. This caused me to do less fights because I was losing so often and it was demotivating. It is rare to see that I didn't get any chest advancement rewards, and I had to double check with the rewards page. I am glad that the rating reset this time around, so I am unsure why it didn't do that last time. Let's hope next season also doesn't have this issue.
