The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. I am still going to be in modern but I don't really see myself moving over to Wild League at all given my lack of time and the cost of DEC. The new chests being added to the league advancement is good and I was able to collect some extra rewards. I am going with a strategy of purposely losing at the end of the season to get more chests rewards. It will only last for a while longer because Chaos Legion will be removed from Modern
Season Rewards
I ended up with 31,856 Glint for last season, which is more than the previous season. I started out doing my battles early on, but I kind of stopped towards the middle of the season. I did finish up towards the end as it didn't require as much work to move up back to Diamond. It did take quite a bit of work to reduce my points at the end of the season.
Above are my rewards from the league advancements. Just like last season, I am getting mainly common and rare cards, along with some merits. I didn't get lucky this time around because there were no epic, legendary or gold foil cards.
This season, I got the above from using my glint. I decided to grab one legendary card and 3 epic cards with my Glint. The legendary card is new, but I don't think the name makes sense when it is a ranged card.
Gladius Packs
I have collected 11 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is higher than last time. I didn't miss any brawls this time around, and my guild didn't do as badly. There were no epic cards, but I did get one legendary and 1 gold foil card.
I was able to level up my Relenor Cleaver to level 4. It has bloodlust and reach. At level 5, it learns inspire. Leveling this card gave it 1 melee damage. I think this makes this card even more powerful. It will become an even powerful damage dealer.
I also leveled up Orella Abadon to level 5. It starts with bloodlust and sneak. It learns true at level 5. Leveling this card gave it the true strike ability, and I do use this card from time to time because of the low mana cost.
I also leveled up Xulax Nightwind to level 2. This is one of the rare legendary cards that I have at level 2 now, and it gained the thorns ability.
SPS
My SPS rewards were higher than last time. I didn't miss any brawls, and the SPS from ranked battles were lower, but the brawl SPS was up. It was a fairly good season.
My pool reward for the season is 105.265 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 235.931 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference.
Conclusion
I am still unable to use up all my energy every single day, but I earned more Glint than the previous season. I reached Diamond III again, and the struggle to lose points for Silver hurts. I wonder just how much I should sacrifice to get those chests rewards. It's a gamble, but I wonder if the effort is worth it as I have to lose so many matches. There is only 1 more season left before modern moves Chaos Legion out so I don't think I'll lose matches at the end of the season this time around.
