The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I have moved to Wild League after the changes to Glint rewards and I have been liking it there. I stayed in Modern League and was able to get more rewards compared to last season. It shows that I could move up a bit further so the reward difference wasn't as large. I am still going to be in modern but I don't really see myself moving over to Wild League at all given my lack of time and the cost of DEC. The new chests being added to the league advancement is good and I was able to collect some extra rewards. I am going with a strategy of purposely losing at the end of the season to get more chests rewards.
Season Rewards
I ended up with 26,741 Glint for last season, which is more than the previous season. I did wait a few days before starting, but I got my fights in slightly earlier so I had more time to get my fights in. With that, I was able to try for Diamond and reach Diamond in Modern again so it wasn't as bad. I spread out my fights a bit more through the season so I didn't have to rush too much until the end when I had to drop my rank.
Above are my rewards from the league advancements. Just like last season, I am getting mainly common and rare cards, along with some merits. I was lucky to get one epic and one gold foil card this time around. It all adds up over time.
This season, I got the above from using my glint. I decided to grab one legendary card and 3 epic cards with my Glint. The legendary card is a new card that I did not have and I got 3 different epic cards. I don't think I can upgrade any yet though, but its nice to see a Olivia.
Gladius Packs
I have collected 7 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is lower than last time because I missed on brawl. I missed a brawl, but it looks like we placed well during the brawls that I didn't miss. I wasn't as lucky this time around, but I did manage to get 2 epics and one gold foil common.
I was able to level up my gold foil Isgald Vorst to level 4. It has bloodlust and opportunity to start. At level 6, it learns piercing. Leveling this card gave it 1 extra health. This is a very powerful card, and I use it from time to time, but the gold foil version is for brawls. Most of my summoners aren't high enough level to take advantage of the increased level though.
I also leveled up Krash Wanderford to level 6. It starts with swiftness and bloodlust. It learns thorns at level 6, return fire at level 6, and dodge at level 10. Leveling this card gave it affliction, but it also reduced its health by 1.
SPS
My SPS rewards were lowerthan last time. It looks like the brawl rewards are up despite missing one brawl and getting this report out early into the season. I also did a few fights yesterday, but it wasn't that much.
My pool reward for the season is 84.535 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 188.237 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference.
Conclusion
I am still unable to use up all my energy every single day, but I earned more Glint than the previous season. I reached Diamond III again, and the struggle to lose points for Silver hurts. I wonder just how much I should sacrifice to get those chests rewards. It's a gamble, but I wonder if the effort is worth it as I have to lose so many matches.
