Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles under the right ruleset or summoner. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches, and it was great for me.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 5 wins. This time, there was 4 free wins because 4 guilds did not submit someone to my brawl. My rewards for the brawl were 3,857 merits and 89.23 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 4th place out of the 8 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. Both me and my guild did great. It makes up for missing the previous brawl.
Brawl fights
There were 2 that I lost and 1 won due to surrender. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.
You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent just had the speed advantage, and Quora is an overpowered card. I don't think there was much of anything that I could do as I just couldn't outdamage that Quora once it starts to stack a bunch of bloodlust. It doesn't help that my melee damage was reduced and the thorns monster in the back negated my Katrelba Gobson.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent had the level advantage, and my opponent just had way more damage than I did. I don't think there was anything that I could have done when my monsters died first, and my opponent also has more damage than I do.
Conclusion
Doing 7 fights for 3,857 merits and 89.23 SPS SPS is a good reward for the effort. 5 of those fights were free wins, with 4 of them being automatic. I did great this time, and my guild also did amazing. I am so glad that the rewards kind of make up for me missing the previous brawl. Life got hectic so I just forgot to submit my brawl fights and it has been a long time since the last time that this happened. I will be trying to not miss any more brawls in the future because those rewards add up over time.
