Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed the result screen of the previous brawl so I need to pay a bit more attention. I did visit the page but it was late on Mothers Day and I forgot to take the screenshots.
Brawl fights
I won 2 fights due to a surrender and lost the other 6. Below is an idea of the match and a few thoughts about it, but it wasn't the best brawl. As I said before, I did see the result page for my own stats, but I don't remember where my guild placed. I had to submit all 8 fights, and there wasn't a guild that did not field a person. All my wins were from guilds where people did not show up.
You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. There wasn't much I could do as my opponent had a stronger tank, and I couldn't do much once my first few monsters went down.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My tank didn't last very long, and the rest of the monsters just wiped out the rest of my monsters. It also hurt that my opponent's tank had phase as it dodged a few of my magic attacks.
You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I couldn't do much against all those magic monsters. The level advantage was rough, and it hurt even more to see that healer there.
You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The speed advantage hurts, and the trample from the summoner let him just destroy my lineup.
You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I didn't have enough damage to take out my opponent's tank. Both of our sides had healers on our tank with shield.
You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. There just wasn't anything I could do given the lineup. I gave up once I saw Llama, Quora, and Kron.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern Brawl, and I got 2 wins and 6 losses. I didn't do so great this time around, but I think my guild placed around 8th place this time around. The rewards do add up over time, and I had to rely on those free wins to have a decent brawl.
Conclusion
The brawl was bad, and the rewards do add up. It's more or less inline with what I got from my previous brawls as my guild is constantly in that 6th to 8th place range lately. I didn't do so great as I lost all my actual fights, and even the free wins couldn't turn things around.
