Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches and it was decent this time around. It was a decent brawl outing this time.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 5 wins. There were no free wins this time around and seeing this happen again so soon is rare. My rewards for the brawl were 4,190 merits and 61.188 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 6th place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. I think it was a decent result for my brawl result even if my guild didn't do as great.
Brawl fights
There were 3 that I lost, 3 that I won, and 2 that I won due to surrender. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.
You can find the first match here. I lost this match, but it was close. It's hard to beat that tanky monster when there is also a tank heal monster.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. It's tough to beat Quora when there is also two healers in the back.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match because I was lucky. Chimney Wallstop was a great card after it stacked bloodlust and demolished my opponent. I missed quite a few attacks so I was glad that the bloodlust stacked well.
You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The magic monsters destroyed my tank and there wasn't much I could do against the remaining monsters. I also missed quite a few attacks because of my slow monsters.
You can find the sixth match here. I won this match because I had a stronger lineup. I was lucky and didn't miss any attacks due to my speed advantage from my summoner. The repair monster was able to let my monsters survive long enough until the ranged monsters moved up front.
Conclusion
Doing 9 fights for 4,190 merits and 61.188 SPS is a good reward for the effort. I did decent, but we didn't place that well. Overall, it was an interesting brawl and I like the free wins. I had to submit quite a few matches again, but I think that I did well.
