Hello Summoners
The last time I posted about Reward Cards, it was about a month ago. That time I purchased one whole batch of Legendary draw, and it consumed all my Glint points. I did get some good volume of Glint, but I have spent them all for the Alchemy Potions.
Today I just saw another opportunity here. My Glint Balance has reached 369.143 point. This number gives me three alternatives. The first one is to get a whole batch of Common Cards, which supposed to be my priority. The second option is to get a whole batch of rare cards. The last one is to get a whole batch of Epic rarity cards, which is the great choice however I would need to play some more battles first to get my Glint balance to 375k.
My top priority was to buy 400 common cards here, a whole batch of common draws. Somehow I have changed my mind in the last minutes. This is the main reason:
ELITE FORCE!! This ruleset disallows any Common rarity units to join the battle. Recently I have been getting some battle with this modifier frequently and this makes me think about postponing my plan to purchase a whole batch of common draw.
I will need to pay 150.000 Glint to get a full batch of Rare Draw. My Gold Foil chance will be 0.5%, so atleast I could expect 1-2 Gold foil cards here
One thing I hate about Common and Rare draws is that we need to pay massive amount of Alchemy potion. This is a real pain in the ass lol because 500 Alchemy Potion is definitely not a cheap one.
But this is a gamble I need to take to keep moving forward in this game. Take the risk! so here we go!

Now I have 100 new rare cards here. I would not share all the opening to make this part sort and simple.
These are the first 15 cards I get from this draw. All are rare cards and nothing special about this one. The only special things I can say if I get Gold Foil cards here.
And these are the last 15 cards I get from this draw. Guess what? From those 100 cards, I really do not get any Gold Foil cards. Well the odds is small, I can accept that but I could not accept the fact that I have spent 500 potions for nothing here.
Another fact that I dislike is that I have two full batch of Rare draws I have purchased that gave me no Gold Foil cards. It means I have literally dumped 1.000 Alchemy potions for nothing. Maybe the next Rare draws I get, I should not spend any Alchemy potions at all!
I still have some Glint balance now, I could get another draw or get a full batch of common draw, but I believe making an impulse action is not wise. I will not buy any draws further before I have made a new plan for my next step in Splinterlands.
Taking A Realistic Decision
I have bought a full batch of rare draw three times, so I have more than 300 rare cards right now. However I only have this one gold foil of Gravebrand Warlock. I am not joking or making up about getting no Gold Foil cards on rare draws here.
I do aware that I need to take a harsh decision here. I always say that I am a gold foil brawl player, only Gold Foil cards matter for me. It is true but I would not be competitive on rank battles if my reward cards are clowns. So this time I have decided to level them up all.
These are the rare cards I have, I mean rare reward cards from Conclave Arcana edition. as you can see, all of them can be leveled up, and I am doing it right now.
FIRE ELEMENT
I get my Grove Doomblade to level 4. This dude becomes powerful now, he could stun his target. This is one of my favorite cards from this reward cards edition.
For Withered old Sage, I get him to level 3. He has a Void ability now, honestly I do not know how to exploit this card. Sometime I just see him as a deadweight in my selection, a useless card.
WATER ELEMENT
I like this Surgehammer however it is not one of my favorite. Initially I thought this was a great one, but later I started to see it differently. Rather than a great attacker unit such as deeplurker, Surgehammer focuses more on defensive play so it's a bit weird for my taste.
Torrent Sniper is the opposite one from Surgehammer. Initially I see him as useless, but now I have him at level 3. he shows that painforge ability. During nuxious fume or with some combination with other cards, he would be a dangerous one due to keep powering up
EARTH ELEMENT
I have this Swamprought to level 3 and he has camouflage now. but somehow I keep seeing him as a useless card lol
I have increased my Anchor Hex Adept level to 3. I get nothing good in return. I rarely use this card so I can not say anything good at the moment.
LIFE ELEMENT
My un-cute Pixie Knife Hurler gets to level 3. Now he has a dodge ability. This is not a great card, but sometime it becomes handy when I know I have to fight an opponent who use ETERNAL TOFU or Mylor
My Saltwraith Bulkhead gets leveled up to 3, currently nothing significant appears on him. Well he has oppress ability now, but I know it will rarely useful.
DEATH ELEMENT
At level 3, my careless badger now has an opportunity ability. It is a great one but this card is hard to use regarding his 1 health point only lol.
Gravebrand Warlock is one of my favorite too. However this card is hard to use because he moves very slow. He is a paradox one, he buffs up speed but he will hit last. In some meta, he will become very helpful.
DRAGON
I can not say anything for this Dragonfang Lancer. I rarely use him because the other dragon units are more dreadful lol.
NEUTRAL
MINDLESS THRALL might be the most frequently used card in my selection. the best of my favorite. I get him to level 4 and now he has oppress ability. He will be very useful in killing that hippo tank lol.
Ok that's for today rare reward cards. It's a real bad luck for me, having no new Gold Foil cards, however I have decided to fight with regular foil cards for the sake of rank battle performance. Will this be a good decision? Only time will tell how my Splinterlands rank battles get performed later.
