Happy Sunday, Splinterlands and Hivers community! May is coming to an end, and with it, the end of the second season. For me, this season has been focused on Modern, as I'm determined to build a deck strong enough to stay in Gold 1, primarily using Archon Foundations and Arcane Conclave. In other words, I'm preparing for the meta shift that will come when the Rebellion cards are finally released for this format. This new season has left me in Gold III; last time, I had to climb from Silver 1, so we've made significant progress.
Feliz domingo comunidad de Splinterlands y Hivers! Llega el final del mes de mayo y con él la terminación de la segunda temporada que en mi caso ha estado enfocada en Modern ya que estoy determinado a tener un mazo lo suficientemente competente como para mantenerme en Oro 1, usando principalmente arcontes Foundations y Conclave Arcana. Es decir, me estoy preparando para el cambio de meta que vendrá cuando salga definitivamente las cartas Rebellion de este formato. El reinicio de esta nueva temporada que comienza me ha dejado en oro III, la vez pasada tuve que abrirme paso desde plata I, así que hemos progresado significativamente.
This season was the one where I finally solidified my place in Gold I, which wasn't easy considering the limitations of my Archons. But as I upgraded all my common cards and now my rares, I've been able to defend myself better and put up more of a fight in the rankings, and in the process, claim the reward chests for moving up from Gold III and Gold II.
Esta temporada fue en la que definitivamente me consolidé en la liga de Oro I, cosa que no fue algo fácil, considerando lo limitado de mis arcontes. Pero a medida que fui upgradeando todas mis cartas comunes y ahora las raras, he podido defenderme mejor y dar más batalla en el ranking y en el proceso reclamar los cofres de recompensas al pasar de las ligas oro III y Oro II.

Even though reward chests are plentiful in these higher leagues, we still haven't gotten any epic or legendary reward cards, but at least we got a common golden card, a good amount of merits, and some potions, which I'm already running out of.
A pesar de que ya en estas ligas altas los cofres de recompensas son abundantes, aún seguimos sin conseguir alguna carta épica o legendaria reward, pero al menos conseguimos una carta común dorada, una buena cantidad de méritos y algunas pociones de las que ya se me están agotando.
The large number of common cards allowed me to upgrade a single Death card. At the point where my common reward cards are, I already need large quantities of these copies to get them to level 5 or 6, and I was lucky enough to get enough copies to take Thornmaw Berserker to level 6—that's only 2 levels away from reaching the top of the gold league! It's not a card I use much with the Death class, but I suspect this card could be key for the eventual meta shift when the next set of new cards is released.
La gran cantidad de cartas comunes me permitió upgradear una sola carta de muerte. En el punto donde se encuentras mis cartas rewards comunes, ya estoy necesitando grandes cantidades de estas copias para poder subirlas a nivel 5 o 6, y tuve la suerte de completar las copias suficientes para llevar a Thornmaw Berserker a nivel 6, es decir esta a solo 2 niveles de alcanzar el tope de la liga de oro! No es una carta que use mucho con la clase muerte pero sospecho que esta carta puede ser clave para el eventual cambio de meta cuando entre la próxima edición de cartas nuevas.
One of the greatest satisfactions of this past season was reaching my goal of 160,000 Glints generated, without renting SPs or cards; I achieved it all through my own effort. I also managed to finish in 56th place, which added another 12,500 Glints, bringing my total to over 160,000. As for SPs, we also managed to generate over 1,000, whereas before we barely reached 600 SPs per season. The progress is noticeable, and now more than ever I want to strengthen my position to achieve a better ranking.
Una de las grandes satisfacciones esta temporada que terminó fue que alcancé la meta de los 160K en Glints generados, sin alquilar Sps y sin alquilar cartas, todo lo logré con mi propio esfuerzo. Además logré quedar en la posición 56 lo que sumó unos 12500 glints que me permitieron acumular mas de 160K de glints. Y en cuanto a Sps también logramos generar más de 1K, cuando antes aduras penas llegábamos a 600 Sps por temporada. Se nota el progreso y ahora más que antes quiero reforzar mi posición para alcanzar una mejor posición.

Buying and upgrading rare cards!/Compra y upgradin de cartas raras!
Now with these Glints we can buy the maximum number of rare cards, which is 100! Last season we only managed to save up enough to buy 80 rare cards and barely got them to level 3. With this batch, I hope to get most of them to level 4. Below are the rare cards I was most looking to upgrade.

When I was getting to the last few cards to reveal, I was getting a little anxious because I had spent 500 alchemy potions and hadn't gotten a single one yet, until I got these two cards in a row with gold foil. The truth is, you have to invest quite a bit in alchemy potions; I only have 400 left. It's possible that next season I'll reveal these cards directly without using alchemy potions.
Ya cuando estaba llegando a las ultimas cartas por revelar, estaba poniéndome un poco ansioso, porque les había invertido 500 pociones de alquimia y hasta ahora no me había salido ninguna, hasta que me tocaron estas 2 cartas seguidas con lámina dorada. Surgehammer lvl 4
Afterward, we proceeded to upgrade the rare cards that already had enough copies, the first of which was Surgehammer of the water class. This card still has a long way to go to reach the level of the glorious Deep Lurker from Chaos Legion, but at least it has defense and can fly, which gives it a high evasion rate in combat.
Posteriormente, procedimos a upgradear las cartas raras que ya tenían las copias suficientes, siendo la primera de ellas Surgehammer de la clase agua. A esta carta aún le falta mucho para llegar al nivel que alcanzó el glorioso Deep Lurker de Chaos Legion, pero al menos tiene defensa y puede volar lo que le confiere una alta tasa de evasión en combate.
Anchor-Hex Adept lvl 4
Next, we have Anchor-Hex Adept of the Earth class. It's an interesting magic unit that at level 4 has the Void Armor ability, allowing it to stop magic attacks with its defense. It also has Divine Shield, making it a potential vanguard card in battles exclusively for magic units.

Pixie-knife Hurler & Saltwraith Bulkhead lvl 4
Pixie-Knife Hurler and Saltwraith Bulkhead are two cards I've been wanting to level up for a long time. I don't have many good units of this class, so I was eager to get these two cards to level 4. Saltwraith Bulkhead is an excellent unit for low-mana battles or for placing in the second position when facing a card with the Flank ability. At level 4, it deals 5 damage and has a good amount of health and defense. The only drawback is its Weary affliction. Now, the Pixie-knife Hurler card is ideal to place in the vanguard since it can attack in the first position and by gaining 1 speed point + its dodge ability, it achieves a high level of evasion against melee and ranged attacks.
Pixie-knife Hurler & Saltwraith Bulkhead son 2 cartas que ya tenía muchas ganas de subir de nivel, no tengo muy buenas unidades con esta clase así que me urgía tener estas 2 cartas en nivel 4. Saltwraith Bulkhead es una excelente unidad para batallas de bajo mana o para colocar en la segunda posición teniendo al frente una carta con la habilidad flank. En nivel 4 hace 5 de daño y tiene buena cantidad de vida y defensa, el único inconveniente es su aflicción weary. Ahora, la carta Pixie-knife Hurler es ideal para ubicar en la vanguardia ya que puede atacar en la primera posición y al ganar 1 punto de velocidad + su habilidad dodge, alcanza una alta cota de evasión contra ataques melé y rango.
Gravebrand Warlock lvl 5
The next card is among the top of my priority list. Gravebrand Warlock is a card with abilities that offer unique advantages, such as Execute and increasing team speed by +1. It has given me very good results using it in Brawl battles where all cards are used, so I will continue buying rare cards until I get it to level 7 and can use it with a level 5 epic archon.
La siguiente carta esta entre las primeras en mi lista de prioridades, Gravebrand Warlock es una carta con habilidades que ofrecen ventajas únicas como execute y aumentar la velocidad del equipo en +1. Me ha dado muy buenos resultados usándola en batallas Brawls donde se usan todas las cartas, así que continuaré comprando cartas raras hasta llevarla a nivel 7 y poder usarla con un arconte épico nivel 5.
Dragonfang Lancer

Our last card to upgrade was Dragonfang Lancer. Now at level 4, it develops an ability that has already piqued my curiosity. It turns out that at level 4, it has the Reflexes ability, which allows it to dodge all attacks from an enemy that has already attacked it. My question is whether this includes units with magic attacks or those with the True Strike ability. The only way to test it will be in ranked matches or Brawls. I might dedicate a post to discussing the effectiveness of this new ability once I've tested it.
Nuestra última carta por upgradear fue Dragonfang Lancer, ahora en nivel 4 desarrolla una habilidad que ya me estaba generando curiosidad, resulta que en nivel 4 tiene la habilidad reflejos le permite esquivar todos los ataques de un enemigo que ya lo haya atacado inicialmente. Mi duda es si incluye a unidades con ataques mágicos o que tenga la habilidad true strike, la única manera de probarlo será en ranking o brawls, es posible que una vez lo ponga a prueba les dedique una publicación hablando de la efectividad de esta nueva habilidad.

Bien amigos, con esto termino mi reporte de final de temporada en Mayo! Ha sido muy productivo esta semana, ya mis cartas rewards raras están en su mayoría en nivel 4 a excepción de 2 cartas que seguramente completaremos al final de esta temporada que comienza. Los próximos eventos prometen mucha actividad dentro del juego, particularmente con el evento de temporada de verano, con skins exclusivas y posiblemente accesorios para los avatares.
