It was quite a journey, and so far seems like its going to be a very exciting experience. And as such, I should make some effort to keep up with the documentation, as every moment has its magic, and there are a lot of things to do.
So our time in the big capital, Guatemala City was a bit rushed, but the cool thing was we were able to be helpful and learn many things by talking to @buttcoins and interviewing him about his 15 years of experience building up his hotel and tourist experience on the natural wonder that is Lake Attitlan.
Now that the hard part is over, the physically packing and moving ourselves and our things across thousands of kilometers of physical space, some more thought can be given, mental space, to what we are doing, trying to do, planning to do.
And one thing that helped bring that down to earth for me was visiting @recording-box and @alex-rourke in the big city.
Like any good reality show, he recorded us - our thoughts, feelings and expectations before the "experience". And experience, of course, that we will help define and co-create.
And here I spilled the beans all about my secret plan, which I am sure will come out in a few days, since I am not all that good at keeping secrets.
So from the city its a bit of a drive, across the Guatemalan country side, and accompanied by the legendary stories of @buttcoins (which I learned is not actually his real legal name), about his hotel, his experience, horror stories and lessons learned, and fantastical stories from across time.
There is a lot for us to learn here, and we plan to do that learning, and try to post about it. In the meantime, especially the first few days I bet, there is a lot of social interactions going on, and its been hard to take the time to make a post.
But I did find a machete, and get it sharpened.
So you might say I'm getting settled in. More to come.
