While a few days ago I was fooled into thinking a dead fly was an alive one, this one I was fooled on the spot, thinking this type of soldier fly was a dead one but it flew away when I tried to get a better angle to photograph it.
The way this soldier fly laid flat on the leaf make me think that this one might already be a dead one, because as far as I know, and all of my previous encounter I learned that it is not a normal thing that they kinda burry the face into the leaf, and not moving at all.
That made me think that this one is a dead one, and on the first few shots, it was still in the same place and hardly moved, so it doubled my guess that this fly was a dead one.
And you can guess what happen next, because with my high assumption that this fly is dead, I treated it so recklessly, thinking that it won't fly away, because no dead fly can fly any longer, right?
But I was wrong because on the last move, when I wanted to get closer and to try to get the photo of this fly from the front side, it suddenly woke up, and fly away, ruining my chance of taking the photo. Or it was me who ruined its sleep. hahah
