We’re doing a little cheat today, haha—we’re building on top of the Ornate drawing I liked so much, adding a beautiful scene of fireflies to decorate and illuminate the face of our lovely forest Healer.

Hoy continuamos dibujando y llevando a cabo el reto del Zingtober, y me encanta poder estar otro año más participando. Así que vamos a seguir el calendario del Inktober—el prompt de hoy es el correspondiente al día número 23: Firefly!
Estaremos haciendo un poco de trampa hoy, jajaja, y es que nos montaremos encima del dibujo de Ornate que me gustó tanto para incluirle una bella escena de luciérnagas que adornen y den luz al rostro de nuestra bella forest Healer.
We’ll be reusing that beautiful drawing of the Forest Healer, but instead of the ornate background filled with metallic decorations and floral motifs, we’ll switch it out for the darkest night. I’ll be working entirely in Photoshop for this piece, using lots of layer blending modes and custom brushes. Since I always save the editable PSD files of my drawings, it’s very easy to reuse or return to any stage of the artwork. After placing the night background, the next step is creating a custom brush for the fireflies—just a solid-colored dot with added white, set to “intense light” blending mode, plus a white Gaussian blur. Once the brush is ready, I use it in the same blending mode. I also added some lighting to highlight the face, and other fireflies with heavy blur in the foreground to create a stronger sense of depth.
Estaremos aprovechando aquel bello dibujo de la Forest Healer, pero en lugar de aquel fondo lleno de adornos y ornamentos metálicos y motivos florales, lo cambiaremos por la noche más oscura. Estaremos utilizando completamente Photoshop para este dibujo, así que estaremos usando muchos modos de fusión de capas y pinceles personalizados.
