Good evening everyone 🍲☕
Today I want to show you some photos of very beautiful butterflies and I found this butterfly while walking by the river, this is the Graphium agamemnon butterfly or some people also call it the tailed jay, butterfly Graphium agamemnon is a very beautiful butterfly species from the papilionidae family, this butterfly is known for the beautiful colors and unique patterns on its wings.
Graphium agamemnon's wings have a striking combination of bright green, light purple and black so they are easy to recognize among other butterflies, the pattern on their wings is in the form of small squares which contrast with the black background, while the edges of the wings are decorated with a wavy pattern that further strengthens its visual characteristics.
The body shape of Graphium agamemnon is slender and aerodynamic, this gives this butterfly the ability to fly agile and fast, behind the wings you can see the entire body of the butterfly is covered in fine scales and produces a faint glow when exposed to sunlight, the chest is sturdy supports their large wings, while the abdomen looks slimmer and this helps with balance when they fly.
The head of a butterfly looks relatively small compared to its body, but they have large compound eyes and are able to detect various colors and small movements around them. These eyes are very important for butterflies to find various types of flowers as a source of food and It also recognizes threats from predators. Apart from the unique compound eyes on the butterfly's head, there are also two antennae which are slender and slightly curved at the ends.
