IT'S A PAGAN MIRACLE Y'ALL
The Forever Blanket, 30 years or so in the making, is finally complete. And if you think that's hyperbole, it isn't: I started this project in high school, and I am currently 45 years old.
When I say I've been working on it foreverrrrr, I mean foreverrrrr.
When I do a long term project, I mean a long term project.
Never give up, never surrender! You can finish your WIPs!!
The big blue and black part at the top is vintage 1990s knitting, lol.
This one goes out to all my neurodivergent friends who also start 20,000,001 projects and struggle to actually finish them.
And yes, Yuan and I have slept with it the past couple of nights. I love it. 😃
You can see on one side, the stitching attaching all the pieces together is very visible, and on the other side it's much more subtle. I like it that way, too. 😄 The blue and black was the yarn I originally bought for the project, thinking it would be enough, and all the other colors is me using up my yarn stash. I started off knitting that first piece on circular needles, but I popped three of them due to the weight, just from that one piece. That's when I decided to make multiple pieces. It is double stranded, worsted weight, acrylic yarn (mostly Red Heart but not all), knit on size 7 needles.
Celebrate with me! My longest term project is complete!!! 🎉
Thanks for reading and have a wonderful week, everyone!
