Hi Friends
After a long break, I shared a post on HIVE. I had been taking a break from posting on HIVE; however, I continue reading, commenting and voting posts daily.
Today, I have reached over 7500 Hive Power which was the next milestone for me on HIVE. I have been a member of HIVE for almost seven years. Considering this period, I should have had much more HP; however, I have reached my goals step by step in recent years. I think that setting HP goal for myself is important in terms of motivation and consistency. For sure, I have not done this period, which is almost seven years old membership, to the fullest. I had dropped by HIVE from time to time and shared some posts until the middle of 2021, but I have never left HIVE.
I had stated that my activity on HIVE would decrease after 2025. Thus, it happened so. With the decline in HIVE's price, I have focused on converting my HBD rewaards toHIVE for a long time. This time, I have reached my another HIVE goal of 7,500 HIVE Power in nine months. Had I not made the HBD-HIVE transactions I mentioned above, this period would have been even longer. It seems we have entered a bear season in the cryptocurrency markets for a long time now. Let's see what awaits us in HIVE in the coming days.
I see HIVE as a long-term investment. For this reason, I regularly power up the HIVE I receive from author and curation rewards. As for HBD, I reached goal of accumulating 1000 HBD in March 2024. As you know the annual interest rate for holding HBD in a savings account was reduced from 20% to 15%. This was not a good news for those who focused on saving HBD like me. Yet, it still sounds very reasonable to me for now to receive 15% annual interest payout for an instrument whose value is almost equal to 1 USD. However, I have started monthly converting the HBD I earn from author rewards and the HBD I get from interest payouts to HIVE. In short, I gradually convert any amount over 1,000 HBD to HIVE. Just as it requires effort to achieve something in life, it also requires effort to grow your account on HIVE. If it wasn't for the Ecency dApp, perhaps I wouldn't be this much active on HIVE and wouldn’t be able to achieve my goals as well.
I have never drawn neither HIVE nor HBD from my wallet and used them for any other purpose. There might be people who need this income from HIVE. I am in favor of powering up HIVE rewards up to a specific goal for a stronger account and the community. I would say this goal should be at least 20.000 HP, considering the current HIVE price. My next goal is to reach 10.000 Hive Power. Since I have started to convert the HBD I receive from author rewards to HIVE, I did set my goal this time as 2500 HIVE instead of 1000. May everyone achieve their goals on HIVE, thank you for reading.
