Blinkit is India's leading online grocery service, which delivers more than 10,000 products to your doorsteps within 10 minutes. Hence, it is also known as India's Last Minute app, which is also their tagline. I had also made a blog on this in December, just before Christmas, where the Christmas greetings were written on their paper bags along with a very colourful illustration depicting the beauty and splendour of the North Pole during Christmas.

Now, one significant and famous festival of India and Hindus, Holi, which is also known as the festival of colors, is about to come. Yesterday evening, we ordered some stuff from Blinkit, and we got that in this very cute paper bag on which all the funny illustrations of Holi festival and the fun related to it are printed, each of which is a different story in itself and is associated with many sweet memories of childhood.

In this blog, I will take you to those beautiful and fun-filled memories of childhood with these illustrations and if till now you have not fallen prey to the false and misleading hatred being spread against Indians and especially Hindus, then I am sure that you will enjoy it a lot.

The left illustration in the above picture shows a moment between mischievous friends where some of the friends grab one of them and throw him into the mud or a tub or pool filled with color. Thankfully, this never happened to me, haha! As we mostly celebrated Holi indoors, either on the terrace or in the front yard.

In the above picture on the right, you can see a child peeking out of the house and his friends standing outside are saying, "Come out bro, we will only put teeka meaning a little color." This has happened to me many times, so let me tell you that you cannot trust your friends on the day of Holi.😁 They lure you out of the house and then put color on you from head to toe. So after many lessons, I told my family members that if anyone asks about me on the day of Holi, tell them that I am not at home. ✌️

This boy, colored from head to toe in the above picture, is the same boy whom his friends were lovingly calling out of the house 10 minutes ago, saying that they will only put a tika (a little color). 🤣🤣
I experienced this a lot of time!

In the above picture, on the left, a father is telling his daughter to play Holi only after applying coconut oil, or else she will remain a ghost for weeks because when the color does not come off from the face, you literally look like a ghost. This is also 100% relatable because it was an important part of our preparation early in the morning of Holi to do an oil massage, especially on hands, legs and face before starting to play Holi.
And in the picture on the right, this is the moment of taking a selfie after playing Holi.

This illustration is awesome! In this, you can see Holi weapons of everyone from kids to adults. According to this description, I have the qualities of kids and legends because water balloons are my all-time favorite.

The left illustration in the picture above is also a great memory. If you have ever celebrated Holi, then you must have seen some people with silver aluminium foil faces. I don't know which chemical-based color it was, but I did not like it at all. And based on personal experiences, those silver-faced people never gave good vibes, so I myself used to stay away from such people, and in this illustration also, the same is shown that a father is telling his child to stay away from children who look like silver aluminium foil.

And in this right illustration, a person is meeting another person saying, 'Hey, It's Holi,' and the other person is sarcastically saying I know we are celebrating Holi today, not Diwali, now give me a water balloon.

This illustration tells the story of that time in the late afternoon when we would finally come to take a bath after celebrating Holi and would tell Mummy that the colour was not coming off our body, and Mummy would shout at us to rub it and take a bath again. 😅

Still remember when after playing Holi, we would get tired and wet from head to toe in the colours and wanted to enter the house, and mom would tell us to dry ourselves first and then come inside.

This is another beautiful memory: while playing Holi, we used to feel like eating sweets, especially Gujiya, but because we used to be covered in colors, we tell Mummy or Dadi (grandma), and they used to feed us Gujiya with their hands. 🥟

We celebrate the festival of Holi with the colors of such joy, fun, love, togetherness, and blessings. Although Holi is still 10 days away, this paper bag from Blinkit has refreshed all those feelings.

So Happy Holi (the festival of colors) to all of you in advance! 😊🙏
