In late 2023 I somehow managed to get my blogging website approved on google adsense and even today my Wordpress blog is still having ads powered by google adsense.
One of the strategies that I used was to convert my existing blog posts into YouTube videos. This method not only helped me get the Google AdSense approval for my website, but it also helped my website in SEO as well.
Why You Should Convert Your Blog Posts Into YouTube Videos
- You will reach a new audience because YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world and is a product of Google. Some people do not like reading, and these users love listening to seeing YouTube videos. You can tap into this type of audience just by converting your blog posts into YouTube videos.
- The user experience is enhanced because many people do not have the time to read long articles, so perhaps it would be easier for them to listen and watch you read out your blog posts.
- By going through this simple method, you are providing high-quality backlinks to your blog posts, as billions of users are present on YouTube who might want to see your YouTube videos, and they might eventually click your blog post backlinks from either the description or pinned comment of your YouTube video.
- Since you have converted your blog posts into YouTube videos, Google sees this as a signal that you are a trustworthy brand; hence, automatically, this method will boost your chances to get your website approved on Google AdSense, which will help you monetize your blog with targeted ads according to your niche.
How To Convert Your Blog Posts Into YouTube Videos
Well, there are a variety of ways to do that, but what I did actually is a very simple method:
- Just read the articles on your blog and show the text that you are reading using a free screen recorder like Screenify.
- Upload your YouTube video where you read the whole article from start to finish on your YouTube channel, and additionally, you can just simply create a "podcast" for it, which is a feature that YouTube provides you. So you will keep adding your converted blog post in video format to this specific podcast. Example can be seen right here.
- Make sure you add your blog post backlink inside the description of your YouTube video and also in the pinned comment.
- In the age of AI, you can convert your existing text into audio using websites like elevenlabs, but please remember it is a paid website. Luckily for you, there are many websites that give the same service absolutely free of charge, so all you have to do is find these websites. Right now I cannot recommend any websites like that because I have not used any for this purpose.
Final Thoughts
By applying this same methodology, I got my website to be approved by Google Adsense; additionally, I kept getting traffic from the backlinks to my blog in the description and pinned comments of these videos. I even embedded these YouTube videos under the titles of my blog posts, which gave a new facility for my current users, and I also saw traffic coming from YouTube to my blog posts, which gave my website an SEO boost in the search engines.
