The snow here is deep on the ground. We have had some of the biggest snow falls that we have seen in years, but I still have these photos from the first part of November that I liked and wanted to share before they are too much out of date!
Plus these photos remind me of warmer days and what a beautiful autumm we had, since it is snowing again tonight and kids are hoping they will get a snow day off school tomorrow.

These were taken in central Illinois. The flat rich soil is deep and fertile and often yields over 250 bushels of corn per acre.

The windmill pumps water and in days past was used to fill livestock water tanks. It still turns in the wind with a rhythmic clatter, , but it is not connected to the pumping mechanism.

Who can resist a shadow photo?

Since I think these are the last of the fall photos I have in my album, I can now say goodbye to Autumn and comfortably move along into winter and Christmas!
