Hay lugares que sostienen más de lo que imaginamos

Creo que todas las personas necesitamos algún espacio donde sentir que el ruido del mundo disminuye un poco.
Un lugar donde el cuerpo sigue cansado quizás, pero el alma logra respirar mejor.
1️⃣ Mi refugio favorito para relajarme
Todos saben las dificultades que atraviesa actualmente mi país, Cuba.
Pero más allá de las noticias o de lo que pueda explicarse desde afuera, hay cosas que realmente solo se entienden cuando forman parte de la vida diaria. Y algo curioso es que, incluso dentro de circunstancias difíciles, cada persona termina buscando su propia manera de resistir emocionalmente.
Creo que por eso también necesitamos pequeños espacios de renovación.
No tanto física, sino interior.
Para mí, ese lugar es la azotea de mi casa.
Especialmente durante las noches de apagón.
Puede parecer extraño, porque justamente esos momentos suelen venir cargados de agotamiento, calor, incomodidad y estrés acumulado. Pero a veces, cuando subo allí y dejo que la brisa me golpee un poco el rostro mientras observo las luces lejanas de la ciudad, siento algo parecido a la calma.
Como si por un instante todo dejara de correr tan rápido.
Allá arriba no desaparecen los problemas.
Pero sí cambia la manera en que los siento.
Hay noches en las que simplemente me quedo mirando el cielo, escuchando conversaciones lejanas, perros ladrando a la distancia o el sonido del viento moviendo algunas hojas. Y aunque parezcan cosas pequeñas, logran devolverme cierta sensación de equilibrio.
Creo que hay lugares que no solucionan nuestra vida… pero sí nos ayudan a seguir sosteniéndola.
Y para mí, ese lugar es la azotea.
2️⃣ Si pudiera intercambiar mi vida con alguien famoso
Si pudiera vivir por un momento la vida de una persona famosa, probablemente elegiría a Audrey Hepburn.
No por el dinero ni por el lujo.
Y honestamente, tampoco por la fama en sí.
Creo que lo que más me llama la atención de ella es la manera en que parecía conservar cierta elegancia emocional incluso dentro de un mundo tan expuesto y superficial como el espectáculo.
Muchas personas la recuerdan por su belleza o por la moda, pero a mí siempre me ha parecido más interesante su sensibilidad.
Su compromiso humanitario.
Su manera de hablar.
La calma que transmitía incluso en fotografías simples.
Hay personas famosas que impresionan por lo que muestran.
Y otras que dejan huella por la humanidad que parecen conservar a pesar de todo.
Creo que por eso me gustaría experimentar, aunque fuera por un día, cómo se siente vivir con esa mezcla de gracia, atención hacia otros y fortaleza silenciosa.
A veces el verdadero refugio no es un lugar perfecto.
Es simplemente el espacio donde todavía logramos sentirnos un poco más en paz con nosotros mismos.

I believe we all need a place where the noise of the world becomes a little quieter.
A place where the body may still feel tired, but the soul can breathe a little better.
1️⃣ My favorite refuge to relax
Everyone knows about the difficulties my country, Cuba, is currently going through.
But beyond the news or what can be explained from the outside, there are things that can only truly be understood when they become part of everyday life. And something curious happens: even in difficult circumstances, each person ends up searching for their own way to emotionally endure.
I think that is why we also need small spaces for renewal.
Not so much physical renewal, but inner renewal.
For me, that place is the rooftop of my house.
Especially during blackout nights.
It may sound strange because those moments usually come filled with exhaustion, heat, discomfort, and accumulated stress. But sometimes, when I go upstairs and let the breeze touch my face while I look at the distant city lights, I feel something close to peace.
As if for a moment everything stopped moving so fast.
The problems do not disappear up there.
But the way I feel them changes.
There are nights when I simply stay there looking at the sky, listening to distant conversations, dogs barking far away, or the sound of the wind moving the leaves. And although those may seem like small things, they manage to give me back a certain sense of balance.
I think there are places that do not solve our lives… but still help us continue carrying them.
And for me, that place is the rooftop.
2️⃣ If I could exchange my life with a famous person
If I could live the life of a famous person for a moment, I would probably choose Audrey Hepburn.
Not because of money or luxury.
And honestly, not even because of fame itself.
What attracts me the most about her is the way she seemed to preserve a certain emotional elegance even within such an exposed and superficial world as entertainment.
Many people remember her for her beauty or fashion, but I have always found her sensitivity more interesting.
Her humanitarian work.
The way she spoke.
The calmness she transmitted even in simple photographs.
Some famous people impress because of what they show.
Others leave a mark because of the humanity they manage to preserve despite everything.
I think that is why I would like to experience, even for a day, what it feels like to live with that mixture of grace, attention toward others, and quiet strength.
Sometimes the true refuge is not a perfect place.
It is simply the space where we still manage to feel a little more at peace with ourselves.
