It's a pleasure to participate in this contest that talks about school bullying, which is a school culture everywhere in the world, which has to do with kids indulging in this manner, which is not appropriate or healthy for other kids. The fact is that this attitude of bullying is still bad to this day, and the school admin needs to address it, maybe during morning devotion, and take strong disciplinary measures to prevent the act among the pupils or students.
I have experienced school bullying before through my so-called school mother, who was in senior secondary and I was in junior secondary. By then, I didn't understand school bullying until I grew up and my eyes opened. But I thank God for my mom who taught me how to set strong and confident boundaries.
So my so-called mother started talking and asking me what my mother and father are doing to earn a living, and I told her, and the next thing she said was that I should collect my parents' money, which I need to buy textbooks. That very day, she asked me for school daughter was the very day she made that statement and was the very moment I said no to such act. I told her confidently that I'm not going to ask my father and mother for anything because of you unless for my personal use. She left with a saying, 'I will see you later', since she never returned to ask for me in my classroom.
I thought she wanted to teach me, or help me with the assignment, or help me grow academically, not knowing she wanted to bully me. Although I was very small, I got a sense and I was very smart.
My advice for the pupils and students is that they should speak up to their parents, build relationships with teachers, and the school admin, in other for such attitude to be reported and dealt with this it with immediate effect. This act can kill students confident or instill dubious character into another.
School is an environment to learn, build relationships, and grow in character and learning.
As parents, we need to pay attention to our children, teach them how to confidently say no to some things that are not healthy, and ask them about school. Let them share the story of what happens in school, and with this, we can navigate and guide them through the four walls of school.
