Greetings friends of the #LadiesofHive community, with the edition you bring us this week, where we are invited to reflect with one of the questions of our dear @marivic10 below I present my participation:

What kind of food do you prefer? Are you a health foodie or a junk foodie? Or are you just looking for a good balance between the two?

Looking back, when I was studying at the University, I used to eat fast food almost daily, such as dogs, hamburgers, empanadas, this was for reasons of time, because of the distance from my place of residence and it was the most accessible to my budget, but in particular I like homemade food more.

Resorting to extremes in relation to food

This brought me as a consequence abdominal pain and burning, nausea, vomiting and lack of appetite, my body was warning me that there are things that I could no longer digest, I was abusing my metabolism, to the point where I could not tolerate or process food, I vomited everything and at the same time I had a lack of appetite.

I even resorted to extremes in relation to food, either I ate what they call junk food or I did not eat at all, then I was inconstant in relation to food, it is logical, food is life, and it was because of those extremes that were giving me a signal, that I began to feel bad, because finally life imposes itself and asks you, and then demands a change.

Without making changes we miss the possibility of something better

I had to go to the doctor, I was already suffering from gastritis, he sent me a treatment, antacids, antibiotics, gastric protector, he suggested me to become aware of my eating rhythm in addition to my adaptation to start healthy habits in my daily food, as well as manage stress, I needed to make a change in my eating rhythm and lifestyle.

Without making changes in our body, based on healthy eating, we miss the possibility of something better, are those signals that emits us to become aware, sometimes start subtle, and then more drastic if you have not done something different after a short time.

Feeling the results by improving my health

Some of these new ways of relating to food were to hydrate sufficiently, eat in a balanced way, lots of fiber such as vegetables, bran, whole grains and fruits, zero fat and fried foods, all grilled, lower sugar consumption, although I do not drink soda but if I drank sweet juices, which I replaced by fruit pieces such as potatoes and apples, skimmed dairy products.

Nothing better than realizing almost immediately, where I was failing, much better to recognize it and look for the solution, why neglect myself, I had to take care of myself for my daughter, for my family, just as no one feels the pain of others, reminding me to act immediately, and in this way I could feel the results by improving my health.

Food consumption should be taken with responsibility

I think that for example, losing weight would not be accurate as an idea to be only for good physique, I think that daily food consumption should be taken with responsibility and it becomes with good eating habits.

Learning from past mistakes is a way to fight for my well-being, nowadays I prepare healthy food, I include healthy and fresh products when shopping, eat everything in moderation and think about eating for health and so I don't feel the pressure to reach the ideal weight.

Today I thank God that after seeking a balance with healthy eating, I was able to improve my physical, mental, and emotional health, I can even give myself permission to indulge in small pleasures of fast food some weekends and enjoy life, which as such is a divine gift that our creator has given us.

¿Qué tipo de comida prefieres? ¿Eres de los que prefieren lo saludable o la comida chatarra? ¿0 simplemente buscas un buen equilibrio entre ambas?

Echando una mirada hacia atrás, en la época en que estudiaba en la Universidad, consumía casi a diario comida rápida, como perros, hamburguesas, empanadas, esto era por razones de tiempo, por la distancia desde mi lugar de residencia y era lo más accesible a mi presupuesto, pero en particular me gusta más la comida hecha en casa.

Esto me trajo como consecuencia dolor y ardor abdominal, náuseas, vómitos y falta de apetito, mi cuerpo me estaba avisando de que hay cosas que ya no podía digerir, estaba abusando de mi metabolismo, hasta llegar al punto en que no toleraba ni procesaba los alimentos, todo lo vomitaba y a la vez me produjo falta de apetito.

Recurría incluso a extremos en relación a los alimentos, o comía lo que llaman comida chatarra o no comía nada, entonces estaba inconstante en relación a la comida, es lógico, la comida es vida, y fue por esos extremos que me estaban emitiendo una señal, que comencé a sentirme mal, porque finalmente la vida se impone y te pide, y luego exige un cambio.

Sin realizar cambios nos perdemos la posibilidad de algo mejor

Tuve que ir al médico, ya estaba sufriendo de gastritis, me mando un tratamiento, antiácidos, antibióticos, protector gástrico, me sugirió tomar conciencia en mi ritmo de alimentación además de mi adaptación para iniciar hábitos saludables en mi comida diaria, así como gestionar el estrés, necesitaba hacer un cambio en mi ritmo de alimentación y estilo de vida.

Sin realizar cambios en nuestro organismo, basada en una alimentación saludable, nos perdemos la posibilidad de algo mejor, son esas señales que nos emite para tomar conciencia, a veces empiezan sutiles, y luego más drásticas si no se ha hecho algo diferente al cabo de poco tiempo.

Sentir los resultados al mejorar mi salud

Algunos de estos nuevos modos de relacionarte con los alimentos debía hidratarme lo suficiente, comer en forma balanceada, mucha fibra como verduras, afrecho, cereales integrales y frutas, cero grasa ni frituras, todo a la plancha, bajar el consumo de azúcar, aunque no soy de tomar refrescos pero si tomaba jugos dulces, los cuales reemplacé por las frutas en trozos como la papa y la manzana, productos lácteos descremados.

Nada mejor que darme cuenta casi de inmediato, en donde estaba fallando, mucho mejor aún reconocerlo y buscar la solución, porque descuidar de mi misma, debía cuidarme por mi hija, por mi familia, así como tampoco nadie siente el dolor ajeno, recordándome que debía de actuar de inmediato, y de esta manera pude sentir los resultados al mejorar mi salud.

El consumo de alimentos debe que ser tomado con responsabilidad

Creo que por ejemplo, el adelgazar no sería preciso como idea para estar sólo por buen físico, pienso que a diario el consumo de alimentos debe ser tomado con responsabilidad y ello se vuelve con buenos hábitos al comer.

Aprender de los errores pasados es una forma de luchar por mi bienestar, hoy en día preparo comida saludable, incluyo productos sanos y frescos a la hora de hacer las compras, comer de todo con moderación y pensar en alimentarme por salud y así no se siente la presión de llegar al peso ideal.

Hoy en día doy gracias a Dios que después de buscar un equilibrio con la alimentación sana, pude mejorar la salud física, mental, y emocional, incluso puedo darme permisos de pequeños placeres de comida rápida algunos fines de semana y disfrutar de la vida, que como tal es un regalo divino que nuestro creador nos ha dado.

This was one of the topics we discussed at work today, I actually have a very thin physical appearance so most persons think I don't eat enough and that's not actually the case. I actually eat healthy, a little bit if junk here and there but it's never a most and I drink plenty of water to hydrate myself.

I tell most persons, even if you haven't eaten at and you are feeling hungry, just drink a cup of water, it helps alot.

It is good to eat healthy and stay that way. I've had a life long battle with food, and I do pretty well most of the time, but when time is short and I've not enough of it to actually cook and do all the things I need to do, it is so easy to fall back on the not so healthy stuff. Someday, when I don't have to work anymore, I intend to stick to the healthy 7 days a week and not just the 4 I am not at work.
