Yesterday, I took our little girls to the park. I was a bit nervous because the last time I had taken them here, a girl was very rough with them... Thankfully, this trip went much better; they had a great time AND they made some friends! 🥰
(For all intents and purposes, I have taken the time to hide the other childrens' faces to protect their privacy)
Ayer llevé a mis hijas al parque. Estaba un poco nerviosa porque la última vez que las traje, una niña las trató muy mal... Por suerte, esta vez fue mucho mejor; ¡se lo pasaron genial e hicieron nuevas amigas! 🥰

When we first arrived, a little girl immediately ran up to our youngest and asked for a hug. This is a pretty common occurrence, so I thought nothing of it 😄 I nervously watched on and was elated to see that the girl was very friendly.
Nada más llegar, una niña pequeña se acercó corriendo a nuestro hijo menor y le pidió un abrazo. Es algo bastante común, así que no le di importancia 😄 Observé con nerviosismo y me alegré mucho al ver que la niña era muy simpática.
It was a bit ironic, watching our oldest daughter's face when she saw her baby sister had made a friend. Our oldest has entered the "controlling" phase, and knowing that she couldn't dictate who the other kids made friends with was interesting to see. She handled it well, and went over to play with the two of them.
Fue un poco irónico ver la cara de nuestra hija mayor cuando vio que su hermanita había hecho una amiga. Nuestra hija mayor está en la etapa de "control", y fue interesante ver que no podía decidir con quién se hacían amigos los demás niños. Lo manejó bien y se acercó a jugar con las dos.
5 minutes of playing later, our girls had already made 4 friends! 🥹 One was the little girl's big sister, a little boy came to play with them all as well.
¡Cinco minutos después de jugar, nuestras niñas ya habían hecho cuatro amigas! 🥹 Una de ellas era la niña pequeña.
While everybody was being good and having fun, I took a few minutes to capture photos of things that caught my eye. This flower here is known as Dame's Rocket. It doesn't have much of a scent, but I find the 4-petal flowers to be so cute 🥹🥰
Mientras todos se portaban bien y se divertían, aproveché unos minutos para fotografiar cosas que me llamaron la atención. Esta flor se llama Cohete de Dama. No tiene mucho aroma, pero sus flores de cuatro pétalos me parecen monísimas 🥹🥰
I took a picture of the water area as well. Some kids had written on this structure with chalk. My mantra has been "God is good" -- can you spot it in this picture? 🤔

This part broke my heart a bit 🥺 As all of the children were playing together, they approached one of the girls' little sisters. I believe they were asking if she would share something, and the little girl became very upset. She was howling at the top of her lungs for 10 minutes. Thankfully she did calm down...

The little boy and girl took our kids over to the swings. Our youngest has NEVER swinged on the big kid swings by herself, but look at her in this picture! (Also, the little boy only fell over as a joke; he was completely fine 👍)
