I was so happy with my achievement last year, since it was the first time I could have the full power-up day badge for the whole year. It marks my consistency, powering up, all the liquid hive that I have from trading the author rewards, and also a little bit additional from my pocket money.
Looking at the golden orange badge shining on the hivebuzz page feels so nice. : )
This year I also have been consistent in Power-up Day, although miss my posting streak because of my foolishness. But apart from that I will try to keep up with my power-up schedule, but there is a post from my lovely friend and mentor @cmplxty , which got me thinking of the power-up strategy. in short, he is changing his power-up strategy from monthly on the power-up day, to power-up on every chance he has, and not waiting for the power-up day to do one big power-up.
That sounds interesting because the faster we power up, the bigger HP to do the upvote, thus giving more curation rewards. I think I already have also a good example which is also my friend @ifarmgirl who do a consistent power-up almost daily, and her account has grown big so fast.
With 2 months to go, I think i will try to switch the strategy as well, and see how things are doing. But in order to get the golden badge of the power-up day, I will still continue to join the power-up day each month, but maybe with minimal amount needed, and no with a big sum at once.
Anyway, for the start of October I have 245 liquid Hive to power up, all of them are from the HBD of the Author reward which I trade internally for Hive.
With that amount, I have 11.701 HP in my account on the start of October 2024, and if I could get the same amount of support until the end of the year, so maybe I will end up with 13K HP to start the new year. It is very exciting, but there are a lot of things that can happen, but it will be much easier for my 15K HP goal next year.
