MobLand. A surprisingly successful series, considering the lack of horses, ranches, cattle, and Montana hillsides. That is, for a series outside the Yellowstone series.
Serial opowiada o wojnie gangów w Londynie. Obsada jest śmietankowa: super ogarniacz Tom Hardy, wiedźma Helen Mirren (a tyle co oglądałam ją w 1923 jako super ogarniaczkę!), Pierce Brosnan w udanej roli lekko już odjeżdżającego szefa gangu, Anson Boon jako skrzywiony nastolatek, Geoff Bell jako główny wróg - to niektóre z twarzy, które zrobiły tu doskonałą robotę.
The series tells the story of a gang war in London. The cast is a cream of the crop: Tom Hardy as the super-clever, Helen Mirren as a witch (and I only saw her as a super-clever in 1923!), Pierce Brosnan in a brilliant performance as a gang leader who's already on the verge of going crazy, Anson Boon as a twisted teenager, and Geoff Bell as the main antagonist – these are just a few of the faces who did an excellent job here.
Do paru rzeczy w fabule mogłabym się przyczepić, ale byłoby to czepianie się mocno na siłę, bo serial oglądało się równo i z zainteresowaniem. Nie wiem jak wygląda wojna gangów w Londynie i nie chcę wiedzieć, ale to co zostało tutaj przedstawione - przekonało mnie i kupuję to całym sercem. A jak będzie sezon drugi, to włączę.
I could nitpick a few things about the plot, but that would be nitpicking, as I watched the series consistently and with interest. I don't know what the gang war in London is like, and I don't want to, but what's presented here convinced me, and I buy it wholeheartedly. And if there's a second season, I'll watch it.
